Well tested that mentioned issue, but mine gnote doesnt have any problem so apparently not all has it.
Please review if this problem plagues all Galaxy Notes

No it won't. In fact it doesn't suppose to be that way. The battery life is pretty good.
I note here that 3G talk time tested by GSMArena lasts three times much than iphone4s, N9 and Xperia x10.
Considering its size it is awesome.
furthermore Note is gonna updated which is confirmed by Samsung.
The pink spot? Man, GS2 beats every android phones(+Nokia N9) in the 8mp camera test. This is the best camera unless you are willing to buy ios.
Oh, to add to my previous comment.
If there is a second version, and they keep the screensize, it would have the advantage of dropping those hardware buttons.
And that could mean that a only slightly updated version with a slightly smaller body could be just around the coner, if this does well.
So should I buy it or not.
The pink spot.
Poor speaker performance.
those two things, sure takes away some certainty I had before.
The problem with a device like this is, that we dont know if there will be a 2nd generation. And if, will it be as far out there. When SE updated their mini line, they grew. Will the second note shrink. Will it pack as much battery. Will it pack a decent stylus? Or will there ever be a second note.
I kinda want this one.
But I dont want pink-spot when taking pictures... whats up with that?
And the low volume of the speaker! In a device of this size, sureley not every cubic milimiter is filled, so they should be able to fit a decent speaker.
I would really want more batterylife for surfing... cant they make an inverted option for the browser, or amoled selection, where it reads white as blach, and black as ?green?, or something. Sure, it might not look that attractive, and might look like 1980s computer experience. But if it makes the battery last, it might be a really good option. It might be sufficient for some of the stuff you do online. Not all of it is reading page by page, for scanning a text or for other tasks, you dont need that perfect contrast ratio.
Just bought this phone few days ago and I just fall in love with this phone!

Manufacturers don't care about the title "iphone killer" anymore, they already moved on because iphone is harshly beaten by several handsets, especially by GS2.
Note is an example of that. Samsung is pioneering phoneblet market by releasing this. The people who need this for business, replacing some old Dell streks and PDAs.
Not targeting the smartphone market. GS2 is doing well anyway against the most of phones(that include iphone).

Now we have DNSe + quality headphones . And nothing in the review about those.

let's see the cons:
-Won’t fit comfortably in every pocket: This... moreI agree with you . No person who bought the note here actually complained its not pocketable or hard to hold in your hand. IF you got small hands dont buy a large phone .Buy the iphone if you got small hands. For everything else theres androids.
And the fact that its all plastic . Its not all plastic . That shiny thing on its sides is a metal ring surrounding it . For extra protection. The rest is TOP quality plastic.
Its strange to see how people can bias about materials .The N9 and Lumia are made of policarbonate (also known as plastic) Strange how the plastic on nokia phones is better than those on other phones.

and yet, there again another one of those cookie cutter samsungs, inspite of the change in screen size, processing power or whatever they say it has, you've seen one you've one too many hahaha. Ah, another sammy phone iPhone killer, don't you just love all these geeks and nerds "ooh ooh, it's more powerful than the iPhone, ooh ooh.. (lol) get a life freaks!
"...for an Android smartphone, at least"
I smell something odd here...
Awesome phone and very interesting review, I enjoyed reading it. Still i can't agree to the mentioned main disadvantages, because most of them aren't really cons. Now I'm even more convinced that the Note's going to be my next phone!

let's see the cons:
-Won’t fit comfortably in every pocket: This shows how stupid the reviewer is because it's a phone-tablet of course it wouldn't be easy to fit your pocket can an ipad fit your pocket?
-Much harder for one-handed use than a regular smartphone: same goes up it's phone-tablet it should be big
-All-plastic body: not all people want metal bodies i prefer plastic it is much lighter and can tolerate the heat of the phone (Dual cores) otherwise why we make oven handles from plastic? There are uses for plastic and uses for metal!
-No dedicated camera key: same stupid thing goes for every phone not Note only and i don't know why they keep mentioning it over and over even me i don't like camera button to be pumped up it will increase the rates pushing it accidentally more!
Non-hot-swappable microSD card: it's like you can swap your sd! it will ruin the card if you do that while the open is still running so it's a good point you can't swap it easily!
malcolm, 17 Nov 2011this review is correct, the reviewer mention this is just a improved version of SGS2 with larg... moreWRONG.... the iPhone 4s change the camera and processor, not the screen build etc... the not has a inch bigger screen (high def), an excellent s pen which is industry leading along with faster processor. To say the least this phone is pioneering as far as smartfones are concerned and to compare the advancement from the s2 to the iPhone 4 - 4s shows exactly your knowledge. Ps. Gingerbread is meant for single core, when this baby gets ics, it will be WAY faster than iPhone 4s
S-Pen and the display make this phone worthy enough. Extremely useful for couple of occasions.
Great review, Thank you very much for it!
I already ordered a note, before reading this, and was really anxious about receiving it. But now, I'm just going insane@!!! 2 weeks of wait??? What am I going to do? :)
