Planning to buy Galaxy Y, I think it's a good offer by Samsung.

Just got an unlocked Galaxy Y for £79 to replace my failing Sony - what a bargain! All calling features are great, including sound quality, signal lock and contacts list. Texting is quick and easy, but using landscape mode is a must. Not explored the android features yet, apart for wifi mini hot spot tethering so I can use 3G on my laptop - no problem.

Finally it passes the 'top shirt pocket' test with flying colours, being very smalland light makes it very easy to carry.

I think this could be the number-one phone for kids both young and old this Christmas. Samsung have pitched this phone just right for this yawning gap in the market...

Awesome Experience with this phone till date.
Got it on 2nd day of its launch in India.
Total Value for Money.

- Very soft and fluidic movement across the OS and installed softwares.
- They say screen has lower resolution. But not major difference with other phone.
- Without screengaurd or any other layer over it. Screen looks crystal clear and great.
- Camera shots are nice and fair for a 2MP camera. If you need real good shots, go get a digi cam.
- Price is awesome. You'll never regret of paying this much to get that much.
- Making calls, Handling all apps and widgets, home screens and Menus, All are just so crisp, easy to use and delightful to eyes.

- Phone gets little slower after prolonged use. Not very slow, but compared to a newer version, yes it gets a bit slow.
- Multi-tasking is not suggestable if u need hastle free actions on your phone.
- Music Quality lacks many frequencies.
- Exteriors are not too impressive, specially back side of the phone.
- Battery never lasts for more than a day.
- Screen attracts scratches.

Good thing I got this phone for free from Globe. One thing I could say, this Android phone is fast. Downloads and installation of application always took less than a minute. I think that's about all that this phone has over my E71. The battery won't even last for a day...probably around 12 hrs only even with only an hour of wifi use, even with all the useless applications stopped. It's a PITA to type SMS messages even with the phone on the side. It's too light and feels like it won't last a year with the same abuse that my 3 yr old E71 has experienced. If this will be your first Android phone then I suggest you save up a little more and get a mid or higher end model or it'll be a bad experience that might give you second thoughts of going back to your old reliable Symbian phones.

I've got a problem with this phone... the stocked accuweather widget shows analog clock 25 min slow... selecting any indian cities or current gps location shows this problem.. but when other country/cities selected, no problem is there then. then it shows respective country's standard time.. got anyone any fix about this?

LMFAO at the samsung fanboys.
Not much cheaper than the xperia mini , which evidently does have all the bells and whistles : 1Ghz cpu, 512 RAM, 720p video, Flash support, 5mp camera, Sony build quality, upgrade to ice cream sandwich in 2012.
