Nokia is biggest brand in INDIA but LUMIA 800 does not support HINDI Language. So we can't read Hindi SITE or Hindi dictionary with this phone

> In reply to cvik2 @ 2012-03-25 01:13 from x{uG - click to readThere's already chepear phones than this. They should have added a camera. Camera phones are important .. they help people trade and are useful for other stuff too (for example send a pic of a wound to a doctor so they can tell whether it's infected and worth coming to the hospital for). In order of importance .. for the developing world .. phones should have .. 1) call ability 2) texting ability 3) Camera -cheap phone camera systems cost 50 cents from OEM 4) flashlight 5) GPS -GPS chip is $1

I wouldn't buy this phone for the simple reason that the battery can't be changed

It is worrying to see HTC, Sony and now Nokia following the bad example of Apple in making sure you throw away your expensive smartphone after 18/24 months because the battery has worn-out and replacement requires an uneconomic service fee

Maybe we should also start making cars that need to be scrapped when the tyres or brake pads wear out?

> In reply to WP8 @ 2012-05-07 15:07 from nTpT - click to readNokia chose Windows Phone as their OS because they didn't want the fragmentation of Android. They will get updated to WP8. It would be suicidal to not update them.

""Both Nokia and Microsoft understand the importance for consumers to keep their devices fresh and updated. Without any announcements being made, we're working to make sure people have fresh and updated experiences on any device they may have.""

> In reply to geeksquad @ 2012-04-09 01:06 from xZwK - click to readIt's not true that latest software release 1600.2487.8107.12070 has completely corrected problems with sound in music player in Lumia 800. I've got it from my employer a week ago with this release preinstalled. The headset which came with the phone (WH-902 or -901 series?) works fine - it's true. I can even say that sound is one of the the bests I ever had in mobile phones. I was very surprised especially after all those infinite discussions about bad quality of music player in Lumia. I presume this headset is simply optimized for Lumia. But unfortunately it has so big speakers (why so basic and obsolete design anyway???) that I cannot use it, it simply don't fit my ears. I also need the microphone. So I ended up buying Purify Monster Nokia headset claimed to been designed especially for the Lumia and presenting the best quality. But it was a disaster! No low frequencies at all and powerless volume control. Also the stop-button didn't work. I returned this and got another one for trying - there was the same issue again with bass and volume. After that have also tryed WH-701 (claimed to be compatible with Lumia 800) - this didn't work at all! Buttons didn't respond and sound... well it was next to nothing. I have emailed to the Nokia and they suggested bluetooth BH-214 and BH-505. Does anyone have some experience of using those devices? Needless to say I have no enthusiasm to by some expencive hi-fi headsets without microphone and especially without any certainty about how they works with Lumia.

GSMarena please update the audio quality section. the latest update fixes the audio quality problems and the battery problems. The phone can now be used as a media player without any problems and it sounds amaaazzzinggg. Check the forums on xda developers if you dont believe me. No more problems with the phone itself. Whatever restrictions are there are now because of WP7.5.

A happy lumia 800 user.

I have been.. I am and always will be your Wanna say something bout this phone.. Its a great phone I know.. But some thing are missing.. Dat is bluetooth , xvid divx wifi, you should let this small things work . Your theme is connecting people.. But if this small things are missing then it'l be a problem and one thing you should know is that there are still some people who doesn't have a pc or a laptop which creates more problem for them and so resulting in not buying the phone even if they want to! so come on nokia do something and make us happy and in return we'd do the same to you..:)
