I agree this can be a superior business mobile than Android based devices, which are over rated for business. There are group I know in Australia that are changing to all Windows on mobiles just to get have the ability to reconcile properly. Now all the geeks can bleat for all their worth but the fact of the matter is the business market is a leader and will cause Android serious damage within the next 12 months. Android does not do what this device does, and frankly I like others could not give a rats arse about games, which is also why Samsung will increase their windows based devices. Cunning!

Really missing WP after switching to Anroid a couple of years back. Hope Lumia 900 will reignite interest in WP which has been a great business-oriented OS.

> In reply to balmer @ 2012-01-15 01:35 from 3drB - click to readDude, the more important question is, where have you been? Nokia have made their strategy clear to all who are willing to listen. They have jumped on board with Microsoft and will be/are phasing out Symbian. That is a strategy. It is actually a very clear strategy. I really cannot see why you are battling to comprehend this?

Of course, they could quite easily have just done what everyone else did and jump on the Android bandwagon. Many are saying they should have. I am stoked they didn't! We cannot afford to have a one OS landscape. Yes, I am saying one as I don't count iOS and it only appears on Apple phones anyway. We need competition to move forward. Already I am hearing more and more grumblings about the shortcomings of Android...

People please try to understand that there is something new that is out there in the market so please just try it out rather than sitting on your computer/phone screens and posting rubbish just because you have read a few reviews.
I've tried the Lumia 800 and the 4S.In 4s the OS is the same thing that i have on my touch EXCEPT SIRI, ya it's cool icons n all siri [I like siri very much worth buying 4S for just that] whats the time ya... ya ... yawn ... and there is lumia 800 or i should say WP 7.5 device you look at it and you think that this is a dummy because the icons seem to be painted on the surface and, then you feel it, it's new very smooth [believe me you ve to try it to believe it cause i was of the opinion that you can't match iOS in smoothness and i ve used android which was supposed to be the only thing after iOS and it is no where close to smooth, though i ve to agree on SII android runs the way it should.] and you can swipe [not the way you do on a iOS or Android for that matter. its for switching tabs in apps on WP7.5.] and then you look at the specs and you wonder how the hell does it work so smooth on these peanuts .... ... ..
I 'm not sayin that it's the best phone but it surely is something new and fascinating like you are msgin your frnd who's in a wifi zone she's on FB and then she goes offline because she's to go somewhere. you can keep on chatting in the same msg thread cause you can change to SMS rather than going to the msg app from the FB app and sending the msg. you do it from the same window.
If apple would have thought of this they would have made a 30 min presentation explaining how easy it is and boom .... .. "same window but now ur using your SMS rather than FB account".

Just saying go ahead and have a look atleast !! It's cooler than you think !!! !

Dont bash at Windows 7.5 without ever using it. Just try it. Its realy amazing phone. I m using Samsung Focus on windows 7.5 Mango. Also have iPhone 4 with me. iPhone4 external design is outstanding. It cannot be compared. But don't you guys ever bored with iOS interface? Its a fact. I would really say, windows phone 7.5, is lot lot better than iOS/Android. It works flawless. Very smooth. And UI on Super Amoled is brilliant. Peoples just don't be a fan-boys on any particular platform/brand. Just love to use the technology at-hands at its best.

> In reply to von @ 2012-01-14 02:34 from v0q8 - click to readyou seem to forget that you can watch movies, surf the web and play video games on this phone. not to mention the fact that people do lots of reading on those things these days

so yeah, a higher resolution screen is actually pretty good to have, especially on a larger display.

Is it me or does nokia seem a bit ill as of late? What are they doing? I mean it is 2012 and they still haven't got a proper phone stradegy? They lost ALL their market share!!

Oh and where is their tablet?? What happened to their netbook series?

Have they gone completely mad over there?

Since 1996 i was a Nokia user but unfortunately they just win money and did nothing new, 2 weeks ago i switched to Samsung SII and android, frankly speaking, i made the move after years of waiting, waiting for Nokia to do something, i have two phone numbers so i keept also one Nokia E6. I read a lot of comments about Iphone vs Samsung vs. Nokia, If you want a very good phone to use buy a Nokia (is a tank), if you want a a better phone, buy an Iphone, if you want the winner buy a Samsung SII. The only "problem" with Samsung is the battery life but i have 4 pieces so for me it is ok. In my opinion Android is the Best platform. I will buy also one Nokia Lumia 900 and after i will test i will write my opinion about it.

I use a windows 7.5 phone...yes it may be boring, yes it may not have the apps like Apple...but damn does it run smoother than Android and on par with iOS.
If you have not used a product stop punishing it, because your input is useless!
Save money on a phone, buy a dictionary.....So dat wen people reed ur reviews dey might biother reading it.

Why would a WP need a higher res screen when it has nothing but block of colored tiles and texts on the screen? And its very stupid to clamor at how zippy its UI is, Bec. it has nothing but nothing on its UI!
