Nokia 6280 review: High-class slider
Nokia has created its new 6280 as a substitute for Nokia 6230i. Is this a successful move? Nokia 6280 is literally bulged with functions. On the other hand, it features quite an exotic slide-out construction, which provokes missunderstanding in the end user. Read this detailed mega review to find the answer to this question.

over all this phones process information fast- waht i mean is browsing from folder to another folder in gallery. it opens images fast even if u had upgraded the memory card. the only thing is it only has aprox 6mb internal memry, and u dont have the option to change the memry being used when recving incoming item either from blutooth or infrared, case is if ur going to rcve a file larger then 6 mb tendency is to fail or worst it will restart and will not trun on again. thou it is capble of data transfer thru data cable but u cant always carry your data cable everytime ? ryt.. hehe i replced this phone with n80 black - glad i was able to afford the upgrde. hehe

Had the phone nearly 9 months now!
Very unstable, keeps powering down and re starting, asks for sim registration for no reason, also asks for unlock code every now and then.
Adding words to the predictive text dictionary can be fun, and usually doesn't work.
Screen gets dust under it, and you can remove it, i think this phone was developed in a big hurry! not enough time on the test bench! 3 out of 10

This phone is beyond unreliable. I have had to take it back within days of purchase and still have the same problems with the second one. Occasionally when i turn it on it asks for a code as if its had a pin assigned to it, most of the time it doesn't. Occasionally it reboots for no reason. It never plays MP4's, and it's just plain hard to live with. Looks nice and great features, shame it just doesn't work.

Both my lady and I have had these phones for about 6 months.
We had to have both replaced this week for ongoing problems.
My lady's phone stopped getting a signal and always went to v-mail on incoming and says error in connection on outgoing. In the end it just wouldn’t switch on. Also the battery barely lasts a day now.
This phone was/is kept in very good condition (girls).
My phone stopped reading the memory card after about 3 months.
It stopped vibrating about the same time.
Then this week it did the same will not turn on trick.
My battery is a little better lasting up to 2 days or maybe a little more.
My phone was abused a lot.
So I think the moral is....everyone loves Nokia for its pure indestructibility, this Nokia 6280 falls quite far from that tree.
This is the 1st phone I’ve ever had that hasn’t even lasted the contract before completely dieing.

Thanks for the review, I too had pre-purchased prior to reading. In my clumbsiness I dropped my phone and cracked the front surface. No damage to the actual phone's display.
Given that the front surface cannot be removed, what's the best course of action for repair?
