What prompts me not to buy their products is that their govt is not good to my country. their phones are good though.

"...to turn the aluminum surface into ceramic, which is said to be five times stronger than aerospace aluminum or stainless steel..."
Bag of lies. I got this phone yesterday and just by pluging it to charge, part of black coating probably fell off, so it has two shiny white spots of aluminium on the edge of micro USB slot.
Don't get me wrong, phone characteristics are great. It is very slim, and still feels light and strong. But my mood was spoiled on the very first day of purchase, because of aluminium start shining around charging slot. I guess, with time, it will only get more shining spots all over the edges of the phone.

> In reply to [deleted post]It has 16gb, 2gb for apps, 10gb for user, the rest is used by system (ics, sense etc.) Haters gone hate.. HTC, enough said. I just love sense and design. There is more power than it is needed. My Htc Desire HD is still doing just fine.

Won't even consider any phone with 16gb internal memory and no mem card slot! Opted for the One x and no regrets whatsoever. Relegated my Xperia S to the drawer and never thought that would happen! The One X is, in my humble opinion, the best phone on the market and likely to be for some time. From a user's stand point, absolutely flawless and you will want to thumb this handset to death!

Gyroscope is there right?
It's there in the specifications but not in the review.

How come you got the One X first and the One S got reviewer earlier than X?

my gs2 is 16gb with 11gb of storage but at least it has a memory card slot. with my 32gb card I have decent storage:)
I don't care if its the best phone on the market or has mind blowing specs bt any phone with no memory card slot is a big NO NO!

The non expandable small internal 16 Gb memory and the Pentile screen are deal-breakers for me! This phone is unusable/irrelevant with this small memory!

A friend of mine have this phone, its awesome. It has the same storage as the galaxy nexus. I think that 16gb (+25 gb from dropbox) its enough.

Had my One S for a couple of days now and can happily say that it is probably the best phone available at the minute (used the iPhone 4s, Samsung S2 and Desire S).
Most of the problems people talk about are such minor details that they aren't noticable and it's just people being over-critical in their expectations.

" At this moment competition simply doesn't have a smartphone to match the One S in terms of both aesthetics and performance and that really tells you what an excellent job HTC has done."
-Wow!! excellent smartphone...!!!
FTW HTC!

Pity about the 10gb user storage, but they had to justify the HTC One X 32gb (25gb user) and high resolution screen....

The one X won't be any better. Guys complained a lot when P.A gave it a rating of 7.8. Truth is the one series have great hardware but perform poorly

The camera is a disaster. Why did you say that it's okay? Just look at the comparison :( Also, those sample shots you took don't look as bad as some other indoors ones on other websites. The amount of oversharpening and artificially boosted contrast are terrible.
This looks like a great phone otherwise and I was planning to buy it but this plus the terrible back cover issues and pentile matrix have put me off.
