HTC Titan II review: Wrath of the Titan

My Titan 11 was delived a couple of
days ago after a 2 month wait.
Australia seems to be low on delivery
list for some of the new tech even
though in terms of smartphones we
have the third highest uptake on a
per capita basis.
The Samsung Galaxy 3 was released
here early last week and no doubt
will do well.
The Titan though is one hell of an
impressive phone. As a single core
device with LTE it is quick.
One review I've read suggests Microsoft's
Marketplace now lists 100,000 apps
available globally.
Screen colors and resolution are rich
and immersive with no pixelation.
Many happy days ahead.

> In reply to Ultraman1966 @ 2012-05-01 20:50 from mppe - click to readThis isn't the only fail. HTC manages also to software-downgrade their phones hardware when they don't put enough storage capacity inside their phonhes. Titan I for example(same screen, no SD card ...) has some shameless video rec bitrate and huge compression applied for photos.

Still using 800x480 on a 4.7 inch screen? They have failed before they started...

Take a look at this video and tell me why Windows Phone is horrible.

There is also nav software for HTC devices built-in now.
But IME it's not quite as good as Nokia's offerings.
Having said that, the Titan II is a slightly better device overall, all things considered.
But the 900 will sell much better due to the huge scale of marketing, & those backing it.
Plus it's hugely cheaper, which will make a bigger impact than the Titan being "slightly" better.
They're so close it's not funny, if you're WP lover you'll be happy with either.
IME (FocusS/800) WP's not competitive enough (yet) to warrant much interest.
But each to his own.....

I believe this phone came out too soon. They should have waited for WP8. With a dual core, HD screen and more goodies, it would have been a star with that 16MP camera.

The camera shootout should have been made with Nokia N8.

This phone is boring. In fact Windows Mobile is boring.
Nokia dump Windows Mobile and work with Google instead asap.

Just proves htc have crap camera phones. Ie even though nokias 808 pureview is really a 5 or 8mp shot, at least they are smart enough to make it 41mp in quality and show that number on the lense for owners to show it off!, 41mp sensor!

" The Finnish offering carries half the price tag of theTitan II" It keeps surprising me how Americans seem completely unaware of the true value of phones. Major brainwashing imho
