Of course. Paying a laptop price for such crappy phone is a real waste of hard earned money. Now who is following whose foot steps?

I don't think spending few extra hundred dollars justifies the extra features you get with Galaxy S III compared to Galaxy Nexus. Nexus will set you back only $400 (compared to $800 or so for SGS III). You lose a bit in battery, performance, processing power but price/feature ratio is much better, in my opinion. I'd take galaxy nexus over sgs 3 any day.

A very good article ... many thanks GSM Arena team. I was waiting for such article and you did it :-).
However, I really hoped that they would also have a 4" or 4.2" screen too.
Thanks again,

All of us must agree, Samsung delivered what we expected more from S2.
Better performance.
Better screen(Don't go on the PenTile, the review explains why).
Better TouchWiz and Softwares.
And most important, Better BATTERY LIFE.

i've used gsmarena photo and video compare tools and compared these phones: nokia n8 ,galaxy s3 ,s2,iphone 4s,xperia s,htc one x,and one s and these are my results :
the best still camera phone is nokia n8 next to it and very close the s3 ,the 3rd place went to the iphone 4s.
the best video camera phone is the galaxy s3 next to it and very close the iphone 4s,the 3rd place went to xperia s.
this is the first time that i see a phone that can beat the iphone in the video recording.
also i would like to confirm that the one s camera is better than the one x camera but both are no match for the other phones.

> In reply to richard @ 2012-05-25 20:26 from x%u9 - click to readYeah, I have the SGSII for about 8 months and I have yet to actually see a phone IRL which I want more. After reading this review it has only made me want the new SGS even more though xD. If this is what Samsung describes as a minor upgrade (compare it to the difference between iPhone 4-4S), then what will the SGSIV be if it is a major upgrade :O

> In reply to TC @ 2012-05-25 20:05 from J5Pj - click to readTrue, I don't understand why Samsung didn't use that fact to help with marketing, seeing how people seem to believe the SGS range is made of cheap plastic (I always say Samsung's marketing division is horrible). That said hyperglaze does make it LOOK like cheap plastic even though it actually makes it even more scratch resistant.

Actually the Samsung Galaxy S3 is made of polycarbonate! This is straight from Samsung's mouth: "Polycarbonate is used on the battery cover. Polycarbonate is lightweight, solid and is already being widely used in the mobile industry. It was chosen as the best material to represent the minimal organic design of GALAXY S III. Using three layers of high quality, pure and clear polycarbonate, not only is the phone’s aesthetic elevated, but the durability and scratch resistance is maximized."
Cheers! :)

I can't emphasize on how interesting it would be to see how the displays of the SGS III, HTC One X and SGSII look like next to one another. It's the only thing I'm interested in really.

When will all these "versus" ever going to stop? Of course the S3 is better. It's a no-brainer stuff.

Nice comparison to read. Now both the HTC One X and the SGS2 were covered against the SGS3. That's probably all I needed. I just need to wait until the Note 2 comes out, with that form factor and digitalizer, but the horsepower and some of the features of the I9300 (Smart stay and Direct call ftw).
