Nokia 808 PureView blind test: The sum of all pixels - read the full textThe Nokia 808 PureView has finally landed in swirling storms of hype. And of course, it wasn't given a chance to catch a breath. We didn't meet it empty-handed either. We had a finger on the shutter of some mean cameraphones and an EVIL digicam...

I think u should see the photos first before commenting

DONT TRY TO FOOL ANYONE , photos of one X were the worst , i know the oneX is a nice shooter but u need to take about 3-4 photos to get a good FOCUSED image

AND
about detail s3 and 4s were the worst

that olympus shot the most wonderful photos according to me ;
after that the 808 with the best colours and lighting.

> In reply to EGOBOY85 @ 2012-09-23 13:22 from thY3 - click to readYes, I see HTC is so kind to make cameraphones for blinds like you.. you better get your eyes checked.. might be there are round buttons instead of eyeballs..

After you get the treatment done, just check the text OMV in 1st crop and you will know which part has more details.

OR ELSE you can do one thing,
BUY NOKIA 808

Put a quality prime lens in front of the E-PL2 and take away some light and E-PL2 will destroy the Nokia. The lens is what matters here, no the body.

I just wanna comment what i have seen base on the sample pictures taken,i was stuned with the picture result came from HTC ONE X and SAMSUNG S3, the details are so evident with almost of the samples taken,(unhappy about the result of NOKIA 808, so where is the "pureview' that you're talking about???)

HTC - shame on you...
... so much hype and effort in f=2.0 camera and clearly, all other contenders (SGIII iP4) show clear advantage.
I'd really want to know: WHY ?
Also, adding Motorola to benchmark wouldn't hurt.

2 of these things are not like the others. Pretty easy to pick really, the nokia needs some tweaking of the colours before the windows phone version is released. But put this in a WP and I promise you Nokia I'll buy it without even looking at the price tag.

Samsung only put 5MP Camera in Galaxy Nexus and 8 MP Camera on GS3.

That's the fact!

> In reply to nekko @ 2012-06-20 18:40 from ve8t - click to readOnly one function? For photography E-LP2 has much much more advanced features than any smartphone has. And keep in mind its a previous generation model with the old 12MP sensor. It's the usability and speed that counts.

Also that panasonic LX5 is not a m4/3 camera. It's sensor area is only 24% of a m4/3 sensor.

Of course in the phone category the 808 is the best at the moment.

Whatever it is, even a quick look would confirm F as the best, while probably E is a little bit far behind but is the second best.
