Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 review: Take two - read the full textIt seems that Samsung have taken it upon themselves on literally making a tablet for everyone. With all of the Galaxy Tab variants out there, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 it seems like systematic attempt by Samsung to put a unique tablet variant in the hands of every living person on the planet...

cam is fix focus,low nbr of pixel, the only good thing is the memory you can ad.
not worth if more expensive than the new nexus7.

hi all I am fan SGT 7Plus, it was great device for me so far..
But if samsung can make 4G samsung Tab 6inch or 6.5inch device with fast CPU speed, 5mp camera,higher than 1GB RAM would be great device for many of us..

Unless you prefer your internet experience to be text-only with NO audio or video or interactive functions beyond text links and youtube-mobile, I'd stay away from the new nexus and android4.1

Of course, the best 7" tablet is still the Samsung 7.7 (P6800).

- bigger 7" screen (AMOLED +)
- Higher resolution
- 2.6mm thinner
- lighter (just)

on the down side it is 10mm wider and a bit dearer.

I was going to get the Nexus 7 but am glad i spent the extra and got the Tab 7.7

Has GSM Arena discontinued doing any of their lab tests such as measuring audio quality or display tests?

I would have purchased a tablet by now if the primary thing it was meant to do (browsing) worked better. The Android project has said time and time again that they have no interest in creating browsing functionality comparable with that available on a desktop.
I have tried several sites and games that don't work on Android. What would be the point of buying a tablet for better internet use when it has no more functionality (apart from being larger) than my phone.

Anything simple like this http://html5demos.com/drag is a no go.

imo Android on a tablet is a Fail.

Good point.

I didn't fully understand your contention. That said, keep in mind that this tablet is first launching in Australia, Canada, UK and the USA. In these places, wifi is pretty common. And most initial purchasers are also likely to be carrying smartphones that are capable of tethering/mifi.

That said, if you absolutely need 3G and substantial storage (I don't know what people do on a 7" tab that requires more than 16GB of storage) then maybe there's a use case here.

Other than that though, if you don't absolutely need those things, what's the point? We are talking a substantially worse screen than the Nexus 7. And a substantially worse processor. These are arguably the two biggest factors in your tablet experience. I don't see the point in accepting compromise here unless you absolutely need 3G and/or microSD.

For the average person, mifi and Google Drive's 5GB is more than enough to overcome any limitations from the lack of microSD and network connectivity.

In other parts of the world, you can just get a prepaid internet SIM card and just buy "prepaid load" to have internet access. No signing up for a plan needed. You only pay for the minutes or hour you used and you have internet anywhere there is phone signal. This is quite common.

And being that internet is charged by the time, cloud storage is out of the question. That is why microSD is still essential to them.

That said, for my needs personally, a nexus 7 will do since I have a portable mifi device. But wouldn't mind a tab2 or tab + if the price is right.

Just bought this tablet yesterday. It's my first Android device. I am very pleased so far. I love the way a 7inch tablet fits in your hands. ICS is a great OS. Smooth and full of options. A+ tablet especially for a first time tablet buyer.

i believe nexus will have a 3g upgrade and I hope it is still around a good budget. price may jump a $100 more.

Tab all the way. Google no flash and no SD. This is for Mr crapple man, got a friend at work with a crapple 64g iPhone and his charge port took a dump and know way to get 50g of pix movies and other things off his phonewithout shelling out $100 for online storage . SD card is paramount

I bought this tab for 19300.A cheap tab from Samsung with icecream sandwich.I like the internet experiance and gaming still no lags experianced.....hope u would buy it
