Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean preview: First look - read the full textThe Galaxy S III didn't stay in the R&D lab long enough to come with Jelly Bean out of box, but once the latest Android version was announced, Samsung was quick to commit to releasing a timely update. And it seems the wait will be shorter than expected with the official update coming in just a few weeks' time...

> In reply to [deleted post]Man, i really like the new lumias, they have new nice features a acessories. But until a real review comes out (wich will be within an hand full of weeks) I will not dare to say that the screen on 920 is better than S3. Nokia proved to be disloyal to marketing since they make that fake video and fake photos. We will have to wait! Android is still the best OS in the market and still getting better ;)

> In reply to TheIcon @ 2012-09-07 17:21 from K2En - click to readmy biggest suggestion would be to try a 3rd party launcher like Nova or Apex...i had the occassional redraw on TouchWiz...but ive NEVER had the problem running Nova...

with have dozens of manufacturers, using countless hardware combinations, making endless modifications to the Android Source code...that is where inconsistency comes from..

Edit: I realize that swapping launchers is not necessarily the answer you're looking for because TouchWiz SHOULD (and does on my phone) work properly...

im usually very against what i call the "band-aid" solutions to problems...many times people will just say "you can fix that if you root and freeze things, or run a custom rom." and while yes that works, the phone should also work as intended in its factory state...

but in this case i REALLY suggest a 3rd party may change your entire outlook on Android...

for basic options...

ICS based launchers
- Nova (my current choice)
- Apex

Older launchers
- LPP (my all time fav, but the dev has basically abandoned the project)
- Go Launcher

Its important, Galaxy S3 has an issue which redraws the icons and widgets after doing some heavy like web browsing a desktop page and switching back to the main menu. Is it fixed with JB? Its a wide issue. Can anyone help me whether from GSMarena or any user have any idea on this?

The sound toggles accessed by long pressing the powerbutton are pre-JellyBean. They are on my ICS phone.

Samsung and Adobe have officially stated that all users who upgrade from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will still get to keep their Flash player.
