Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 review: Writing home

Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 review: Writing home - read the full textSamsung has produced many great handheld devices in its time, but few have reached iconic status. The company builds its success on great adaptability, an eye for trends and a knack for improving on others’ successful formulas. And yet...

Samsung Note II has an issue with viewing recent calls. Certain numbers will not view in vertical but will view in horizontal. I had one phone for a week and I couldn't see the calls missed, brought it back and the 2nd phone did the same thing. I we back 7 times in 10 days, even the floor sample Note II and customer service Note II had the same issues.

I like the Note II but don't like the way Samsung turns their back on customers that find software issues.

Samsung customer service; more like "Customer No Service". Cell provider contacted Samsung Rep, service technician filed a ticket with Samsung, Technical support called Samsung, and I called Samsung.

I was gifted an IPhone but hardly ever used it and stuck to my Nokia E71. To me, browsing the web means also checking the fine print, so what's the point using a smartphone screen? Until a friend showed me his Note 1, and that was Love at first sight. I immediately bought the Note 1 and love everything about it. As a small business owner rotating in 3 countries, I just bought the Note 2,and it's a marvel!Serious improvement to the Note 1, but I still love my Note 1 and highly recommend both. But of course, if you only need 1 phone, go for the Note 2, faster quadcore.I gave up my Kindle as these devices do it all for me besides my 17.3 inches laptop.Congrats Samsung! Brilliant job!

Hmm any easy trick to transfer apps to SD card?
And, i can't even transfer video files to card which are larger than 4GB (mostly my 1080p HD long duration home videos)!

> In reply to hey nekko @ 2012-10-25 05:47 from K1G9 - click to readI agree. To add, IMHO this is the edge of the envelop for "phablet". Any "competitor" claiming more is dreaming. 1 inch smaller and it's a phone. Just 0.5 inch larger and it is in tablet territory. The only way to allow it to grow a bit more is to make it even thinner and less bezel.
