Thanks to everyone who helped me to decide between the two colours, Titanium Grey is the colour that almost everyone voted for. So, now I've finally ordered the Note 2 in Titanium Grey!
Q: Is this phablet too big to carry around?
A: No. Guys who can't fit this phablet in his pants are wearing pants so skinny their sperm production is messed up. Girls don't carry phones in their pocket/skirts. They always carry it in their handbags.
Q: Is this phablet too big for one handed usage?
A: No. If you use it one handed exclusively i.e trying to reach every edge of the screen using your thumb then yes. But the thing is nowadays smartphones demand more two handed usage(qwerty keyboard, web browsing, pinch to zoom, setting the camera and so on and so forth). Even people with smaller screen use it two handed (3.5in iphone) and Blackberry users also use theirs two handed. So what's the one handed operation for? Unlocking screen, picking up calls, watching movies, watching slideshows, snapping pictures quickly without meddling with the settings, all which can be done on this phablet with no problem. So, NO the phablet is not too big for one handed operation.
**Those who said this phablet is too big for one handed usage most probably have only one hand which forced them to type on the landscape qwerty one handed and pinch to zoom while holding the device in the same hand. LOL imagine that.
Anonymous, 23 Oct 2012In your opinion, which do you think is better? The noteII is definitely better... But if you already own a note, i suggest u hold on to it a bit longer... Cz the original note is already a very decent device...
T-Man, 21 Oct 2012just to make things clear....retina is a trademark name....it's not a technology. If you want ... moreI'm pretty that if you use it you'll change your mind. I had an ipad for about a year alongside with a galaxy s2. After i got the note i rarely use the ipad... I think im gonna sell it real soon (plus my note) so i could get the note 2.
dudin, 14 Oct 2012i reckon an iphone5 camera was used to film lumia 920 video, and you'r wrong, the only retina ... morejust to make things clear....retina is a trademark name....it's not a technology. If you want to have innovative technologies look at the lumia 920....far more innovations than the iphone. Just in the camera department there are 3 nice ones.
As for the note 2 I don't get it...isn't a tablet better suited for work or a smartphone for everything else ?
I'm not trying to bash it, but being so in between size-wise one cannot wonder if it's not bad for either end of that spectrum.
Is it too much to ask all the reviewers on the internet to stop mentioning the big size as a negative point. I mean forget about the s pen, forget about the specs, forget everything... The size of this device is the MAIN reason why people are buying it... If it wasnt for its size no one would think about it... The big size is the top feature of this phone... Makes working on it (literally working, playing, watching, browsing, typing...) such a bliss...
Sammy, 16 Oct 2012Guys not sure if this feature was there in the previous note or not, but note 2 screen doesn't... moreI have the original note... The feature is already present there... But i think the new note can sense the pen from a farther distance than the original note...
Am So happy that its out gladly going to update my note to note2 thanks Samsung for this great phone... :)
Guys I am going to buy the Note 2, but I need to know its battery life ? any1 using it, pls help me out ? how much does it lasts when ur using it normally ?
not as versatile as a phone , not as good for multimedia as a tablet
seems pointless except if you don't have money for a good smartphone and a decent tablet and you still want something from both worlds
Have had this phone for about 10 days now. .. no regrets! !! A very powerful device. .. God going Samsung
would love to see Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running on WP8. s-pen+windows phone 8 would be magic.
Guys not sure if this feature was there in the previous note or not, but note 2 screen doesn't accept finger input when it senses that the S-pen tip is in proximity of the display. You can try it out, very handy feature that prevents accidental touch input when you are writing something with the S-pen :). Cheers !!!
