> In reply to will lee wanta @ 2012-10-05 20:05 from PASA - click to readI do believe Samsung is launching 2 flagships per year, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Notes are pretty much revamped S series with larger displays and added digitalizer capabilities. The thing is these revamped flagships are not intended for the general masses, as the S series are. They're more a niche product due to their size and higher price point.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-10-04 09:54 from v0Xt - click to readclearly you never use a galaxy note.
s-pen is not just a stylus. If you work in creative world, it helped a lot.
If you like you edit pictures, s-pen come really handy.

I seldom use the s-pen. But hey, that doesn,t stop me from buying and using galaxy note. Let the s-pen sits in its place and i still can use note as a normal smartphone with large screen.

Personally, i prefer s3. But i'll go for note2. Why? because of the s-pen.

I once heard this dialogue in a movie (forgot the title):
"Having a gun is Just like condoms. It's better you have one in your pocket but don't use it. Rather than don't have one when you are in need"

LoL

s3 is for those who want a good-looking smartphone.
While note2 is for those who want a smarphone with stylus capability (hence more creative and productive ability), but still possess good look.

It is a marketing strategy too. You don't want to release more than one flagship phones at the same time.
Like a chinese saying: there cannot be two gods at the same mountain at the same time

I love large screen because i can browse the net better.
I love large screen because it showed pictures and videos better.
I love large screen because i can see more when taking pictures.
I love large screen because i can see texts better when they are large.

Today, a cellphone is not only about making call and sending sms. But as an advance communication tool.
Sure, we still need basic cell phone for those who cannot afford fancier phone.

Cell phone has trends too. Back in 2002-2005 (i guess), people want smaller phone. And then came the "razor thin" trend. Then came the "touchscreen" trend. And now, we have "large display" trend
