Try the S-Pen on the "normal" capacitive screen and let me know if it works

> In reply to Dee @ 2012-10-04 14:45 from v}7V - click to readTo be precise, S-Pen works only for Note Devices not for other Capacitive Screens. More Accurately, the device should be Wacom Digitizer 'enabled' to recognize the S-Pen. It has no relation to the old stylus , as you rightly said a mere chopstick.

android any day is the best because of freedom open os that can be rooted for better firmware not like lumia 610 which won't have better than limited wp7! so no bluetooth transfare is coming, and also jellybean is smoother with a longer battery life ! it has 60fps ui animations, screen video record and quality games and apps, hen ios and then 3rd grade windows!!!

Please stop fighting about which one has better screen. Both note and 920 have their advantages and both are "future screens".

And lets see what this Note II is. It's a fusion of phone and tablet, those big measures are the prize of it. Exactly the same as it is with Nokia 808. Phone and camera combined, there is the thickness to complain about. This kind of things aren't ment for everyone. If you use phone to regular calling, sms, web, etc. propably this is not the best choice because of its measures. But if you are willing to carry this kind of slate with you to get some extra functionality, you can have it. Again, same with 808's camera bulk, it's the cost of having proper camera and phone is same pacage.

What I'm trying to point out is that it doesn't harm any one of you if there is such devices out there. It's just good that there is something for somebody who makes the best use of stylus and almost-tablet-screen.

By the way, there's no way I'm putting that kind of device into my pocket. Waiting for Jolla ;)

Isn't it just a capacitive stylus?

But I can tell you a little info for you...Stylus is for Resistive screen and S-pen ( Smart pen) is for Capacitive screen. Stylus have no use for Capacitive screen because Stylus is just like any ordinary chopstick. Got that?

Guess this one is gonna be a worthy upgrade from my iPhone 4. IPhone 5 is definitely crap and apple has failed to vow its fans.

As far the note 2 is concerned only the 16 gb model is available in India. Any idea where can I buy a 64 gb model in Delhi?

I left SGS3 behind and went for NoteII and didnt regret it. Only flashlight is weaker than SGS3 ones, other than that I am realy satisfied with this monster.

> In reply to TheMan @ 2012-10-04 11:14 from fqe{ - click to readYou've done few points right although mostly you're delusional (even comparing phtablet to a phone).

Lumia900 does have old WP7.x OS using archaic kernel from Windows Mobile 6.x era (supporting for instance, only single core CPUs). WP8 is an OS rewritten from scratch borrowing many parts of its kernel from Windows On Arm (Windows 8 Desktop) - thus you have no idea what the battery will be like.
And mostly, screen is the main hog for battery - so much smaller screen of Lumia920 is alright - and it's not AMOLED so doesn't have a battery problem with white or bright colors (web pages).

Other points are pointless to comment as these phones are for different audiences.

> In reply to rotem @ 2012-10-04 03:04 from 0@dE - click to readTell me what Lumia has over Note II or S3?
1-Note II > Lumia 920: Stylus ( from 01:50 shows wireless function for the stylus and complete revolution of technology.
2-Note II > Lumia 920: Display size and quality (SAMOLED>TFT) Plus NoteII is non pentile which beats the over DPI of Lumia 920
3-Note II > Lumia 920: weight and thickness
4-Note II > Lumia 920:Internal storage (64GB VS 32GB Fixed!)Note II has MicroSD up to 64GB = 128GB vs 32GB!
5-Note II > Lumia 920: BT 4th generation while 920 still on 3.1 like S2
6-Note II > Lumia 920: DLNA and Wifi direct... Your Lumia can't be connected directly to the advance TVs or devices with DLNA
7-Note II > Lumia 920:Front Camera 1.9>1.3 also Note II has slow motion and zero shutter lag and brust mode while 920 has fake camera quality
8-Note II > Lumia 920:CPU/GPU Exynos always better since the old ages because Samsung always provide best quality with K+ saturation for their Chips
Here how S3 International Exynos beats S3 US Krait
But in benchmarks its something else because Qualcomm seems to make their chips optimized for Benchmarks and this proves how Exynos is better in real life experience not in faking results by some tweaks for Benchmarks.
9-Note II > Lumia 920: (GSMarena comparison also showed = Note II is better than 920 in having: Radio FM RDS - Java - Supporting more Video extension Divx Xvid MKV with HD acceleration for Note II - 50GB from Dropbox - MHL)
10-Note II > Lumia 920: JB is more advanced than WP8 its smoother 300FPS rate and full customization and more apps and games...
11-Note II > Lumia 920:Most important Battery life 3100 and removable while 920 2000 and non removable!
Note II battery life is like the double of Lumia 920
Standbye/Talk time Note II = 980/35
Standbye/Talk time 920 = 400/17

And don't forget WP8 is battery hog
S2 has 1650 mah Battery with dual core beats Lumia 900 1875 mah and its a single core!
