LG Optimus G review: Grand Slam - read the full textDesigned to a flagship standard and powered by the latest in handheld computing, the Optimus G cannot hope for a warm welcome from rivals but is due every bit of their respect. LG is not asking for it – it’s getting ready to earn it...

Don't be so angry that you chose the right phone and you now think that you should have waited for this one.

GsmArena Final words
Safe to say, LG has done it - all the right pieces are put together in what's a good-looking and powerful smartphone. And unlike the Optimus 4X HD, the Optimus G isn't trailing behind the competition. This time LG is ahead of the pack.

If the rumours are true and the LG Nexus is essentially the same phone... then it seems like a good start.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-10-23 13:57 from Kg{$ - click to readI think not everybody needs that much space on a cell phone. Personally, i have 16Gb on my phone and no card slot, and it doesn't make any difference. I sync media wireless so i never would have pulled out that SD anyway. And i still have 5Gb free memory. Now I can assume that there are more people like me, so they won't mind having a phone with no SD card slot.

I had 32GB internal plus cardslot on my phone in 2009, so how anyone could want a phone without a cardslot now when its almost 2013 beats me. They must have very modest requirements to a cellphone, and if they have modest requirements why would they demand quadcore krait and 2GB RAM and whatever?

> In reply to neb @ 2012-10-23 12:37 from myMV - click to readThe sd slot is a showstopper, for sure.

And wheres the performance domination? It humiliates note II in linpack, and how many times a day does the user play linpack? None. But webbrowsing, we do it all the time, and here LGOG comes out at bottom.

Theres nothing spectacular about this overpriced phone running an old android version. Linpack does not matter. Theres no reason to wait any longer, go out and buy Note II already, best battery jellybean and cardslot.

lg has recently slashed the price for 4x hd in India
from 32000 to 26000
perhaps this might come to India after all

still I wonder where this shall leave the 4xhd

So the camera of the phone is hardly better than other phone's camera. It's a shame, because LG said the phone has the best camera! :P
