The LG (should it get JB) will definitely be the winner of this beast war. However their track record with providing timely updates (or even updates at all) deals them a blow. I own last year's Samsung Galaxy S2 (international version) and I've read through my beloved Drippler app that I should be receiving JB 4.2 soon. All the way from Gingergread 2.3.3. Not only that, but it comes with some cool tricks that premiered with the S3. My last LG (which was actually my first touchscreen phone) was denied of an upgrade. LG, are you reading? My very old Nokia C5 (two and a half years old) received its last upgrade early this year. Support is very crucial for brand loyalty

LG Optimus G camera is wider in video mode than the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is usually an advantage as it lets you fit more in the frame.

All in all the S3 still seems a better phone. While being a little sharper the Amoled still is the overall better and at 720p that sharpness difference is not so immediately obvious. The only place it really wins is GPU and cpu architecture yet even then Samsungs software still give better cpu performance. Web browsing for S3. Camera quality definitely goes to S3. Removable battery so you can out $12 3200MAH battery in. Up to a 64GB version and card slot up to 64GB. All and all S3 definitely. Though G should catch up more in updates. I expect better web results and clearer pictures after updates. Its call time is a pleasant surprise and

Same old story - super hyped LG phone with no software updates.

Never LG again. Not even the LG Nexus. Just on principle.

LG released his beast in the last of the year while Samsung released his beast to early. If compared with note 2 which is released with G. G sucks. Samsung S3 is cheap and have better functions. I will prefer S3.

Samsung is ugly as hell. I hate rounded shaped things (except women ;) ).
Samsung display is one of the most unrealistic displays i have ever seen, this is the main reason i was put-off by the previous SII.

On the other hand, LG software is crap and usually ships with even crappier bloat-ware. Support is nonexistent and their responses are an insult to intelligence.

Wish there was a Samsung Optimus G :)). LG hardware, display and overall looks with Samsung JellyBean software.

The specs are good but LG's skin is seriously lacking. Also chances are the optimus won't receive the update because it's an LG phone and LGs don't really get any support
