LG Optimus G v Samsung Galaxy S III: Beast wars

> In reply to iHATER @ 2012-10-29 15:10 from U{i$ - click to readHave you noticed in a single review of the Optimus G that it lags? No, you haven't because it simply doesn't lag. The browsing experience on the Optimus G is the best you have seen in a smartphone, miles better than S3. And everyday usage is always snappy. You sammy fanboy need a reality check! If you own an S3, you have to realize that there are better phones than it, like other phones beat the S2, when its time had come. You can't even compare the S3 with the Optimus G, the LG is far superior, and only Samsung fanatics don't realise this, maybe they realise, I'm sure they do, but they don't wanna tell the world, because they will look like fools.

> In reply to Sawsees @ 2012-10-29 22:28 from 0SL3 - click to readIf you believe that you have to wait always for the best phone, then you will never buy one. At its time, a dualcore phone was the best, but one year later quadcore phones appeared, and now S4 quadcore. If you wait for A15 or Tegra 4, you won't buy phones having these on them, because Tegra 324 or A421412 will appear next year. You have to know your limits!

Lg -_-
Some guys say that Samsung don't make good phones.
And they like LG oO ?
LG, good on paper/specs(sometimes)/and maybe for some guys in design, but they are very low in software/build. It's simple, their products can't work more than 2-3years. (TV, phones...) Bugs or hardware problems... more often than Samsung in my circle of friends/family.
LG is just not serious.
Can't you see the Copy in their UI ?
Same icons (even samsung icons copy (according to Apple xD) less Ios icons...), same functions (OMG smart stay by LG), exactly same camera interface...
Come on guys. Nexus 4 is already better than G, even if it's a LG... 4 month to wait and tegra4/a15/others will come. And you will change your phone, just like you always do. :)

Well, you are forgetting about HTC's ONE X+ here. And (this is post festum as benchmarks were available just today) that HTC has done great job updating ONE X to JB. Of course SIII still has some advantages over ONE X, but now HTC is far more competitive. Really it can overthrove SIII on quite few areas. Just my opinion. Things now are not so easy to judge in SIII favour. And don't forget about ASUS and its PadPhone2.

it really made me laugh, the last sentence that says that optimus G will snatch the throne from S3... the biggest drawback of optimus G is its poor browsermark n i guess most people buy smartphones to browse internet more than to talk or play games or watch videos thus it is still inferior to S3 while they chose ICS for thz rather than JB n god knows when JB for thz will be out as LG never produce early updates... again S3 is a winner here...

My experience with LG phones is HORRIBLE!!. I bought an LG Nitro HD and it started giving me a lot of reboots and other problems. Adding to my agony, the customer support is very very poor. Also, the build quality is flimsy. I sold it off and happily using a Samsung Galaxy Note now. Samsung betters in Software and Customer Support.

Not really fair, just like comparing it to the iPhone 5, S3 was out in June, almost 1/2 year off.

LG has wasted their time and money by launching 4X HD FIRST then optimus G AND putting 4X HD in the competetion instead of optimus G AGAINST galaxy s3 and htc one x..........................

Another fantastic comparison GSMArena. But clearly Samsung Galaxy S3 way ahead of LG Optimus G. Again the winner is S3.

> In reply to z @ 2012-10-28 17:58 from YbM6 - click to readActually you've pick up an out dated hardwares phone even before it gone on sales. Apple fans are like frog in the well, without reliasing the world has change when it has changed.
Apple fans also pathetically poor people. With their very shallow pockets, they can only afford to purchase 1 new phone in 1 or maybe 2 years. This is no good to America and Europe already deep shit economy.

And so LG comes out with the latest and greatest tech first. But wait; remember to Optimus 2X(first dual core on the market), and then the S2 came along and blew it out of the water. So what the LG has some of the best hardware right now. when everyone starts making use of Cortex A-15 cores and new gen GPU's this chipset will be old news. A-15 Exynos and Tegra chips anyone...?!
