time to wake up from trap of samsung brand, purely comparing s3 & g, it is greater than s3 such as q-slide 13mp camera, video zoom-in etc.

"Two people holding the phones cannot differentiate between their speeds."

this is said earlyer by a very down to earth man. +1 to you sir, you have made my day!

Aside from my personal feelings today I'd like to point out something related to the statement of one being unable to notice a difference in speed between phones.
The older tech dudes among you remember well how computers were evolving back in the "Moore Law" days. From year to year you got to do more stuff with your computer, and more and the even more. Within 15 years we went from PCs running win95/Pentium to quad-core beasts runing winXP and the win7(and that not so succesful Vista) and the posibilities went from being able to see a few pictures on the internet to having cloud storage, videocards that rival supercomputers in raw power etc.
In the PC world the year-to-year development of hardware stopped right at the time when the raw power of the computer was enough to make things move on the screen without observing any lag.(it didn't "stop" but has slowed considerably - the 1thread performance is no longer within the "law").
PC industry can do the same things it does today even on 5year old hardware without the user noticing any big difference. The only true performance increase that I've seen in the last 6years (since Intel Core2Duo) is the SSD.
The Handset industry is about to hit the same point the PC industry hit about 6years ago -- the point where the hardware can run any software without the user notincing any differences.
The Exynos5 is rumored (as said here) to be crushing all other competition (apple included) in benchmarks and along the other A15 designs will mark the point in history when we stop the spec race and begin the feature race. It is my belief that next year will mark the turn point where the software will be "free" from hardware restrictions -- a 5" 1080p display with 60fps while doing "anything" is more than enough for any human ... but so were 2kB of memory back in the 70's :)

to b frank, with almost the same amount spent, i'll rather get a Note2! a real beast! not to mention the wonder of the S-pen! Lg Optimus G? they havent update my O2X yet, not to mention there will b no JB for O2X.... so beware for those who r interested in the Optimus G, they will tell u that the JB update is on the horizon but take it from the many O2X owners, their 'coming soon' is a few years long! so think twice & thrice!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-10-28 17:11 from 0Us{ - click to readWAS LG Optimus 2X better than Galaxy S2 ? Nope.

Is LG Optimus 4X HD better than Galaxy S3 ? Nope.

LG optimus G was launched 4.5 months after galaxy S3..and thats a pretty long time. LG OPtimus G should be wiping the floor with S# but that is not happening. Instead it barely managed to beat S3 , and the performance difference is noticeable only in benchmarks. Two people holding the phones cannot differentiate between their speeds.

Add to that crappy LG update schedule and shitty phone service get the aswer why LG is behind Samsung ,Apple,Sony, HTC and even Nokia for that matter.
