Samsung Ativ S review: A fresh start - read the full textTheir Ativ S was the first Windows Phone 8 flagship announced and, respectful of chronology, the first we're about to properly review. The Nokia Lumia 920, the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Ativ S are often painted as allies - but that's mostly rhetoric...

Still Nokia lumia 920 is in the lead with pureview an' pure HD + display
.no comparison with amoled screen

Samsung is so lazy. Wait for lumia 920 review..it has equalizer and other custom tweeks under it's sleeve. Let's see also what customizations HTC have.

great device specs n design and only if it wasnt for this wp os which i really dont like despite very agressive marketing, open-source os would be better like symbian belle/carla. that would be better option but as you know there is no agressive marketing for symbian (trojan horse elop)... just a sad sad story! :/

After I read through the review, I realize that ATIV S is only phone that has aluminum body which many people and fanboys brag about all those years.

And ATIV S looks more conservative and professional than 920. I mean this is what Nokia used to stand for - being an adult among the crowd.

I mean, at this point, I cannot find any single reason to hate this phone.

This phone should been an window 8 reference phone.

My respects to Lumia 920

but Active S is for someone who prefers slimmer and lighter phone with sd card expansion slot + Lumia 920. What a sexy beast. It even looks better than S3.

I'm sorry but X8 just doesn't look good. HTC lost its plot lately...

iOS for example has enough tricks up its sleeve to make you a fan if you have an iPhone for over 6 months. So does Windows Phone.

OMG you WP fanboys! Can't you see that WP is a total mess in terms of UI? You simply can't understand anything from it. That many icons that you have the impression they will go on top of each other anytime. There's no sense of organization at all in WP. I understand a pc or a laptop with Win, but a small device like a smartphone? Never, that's why the only rivalry that exist on this market is between Android and iOS, and more important, between Android devices.

Can't be anything but that, when you call Android a "real" OS. When I say no one leaves Windows for Android, I am talking about unbiased users.
