BenQ-Siemens EF81 review: More than a copy

BenQ-Siemens EF81 review: More than a copy - read the full textBenQ-Siemens officially released their new slim clamshell EF81 on the market. A lot has been said about it resembling Motorola V3x. Indeed, the new BenQ-Siemens does look like a RAZR and many people would definitely take it for a V3x by mistake when they see it in your hands. But EF81 has a lot more to show and as soon as you devote more time to it, you would definitely find original characteristics that would distinguish it from the V3x in many ways.

phone is great, no doubt about it. havent had multimedia phone so far and I love this, especially with the external controls which allow u to use it as an mp3 player with no problems. sound quality is excellent. on constant play through the headphones batter lasts only about a business day though... other bad things - and NOT many, as I said, phone is awesome - cant rewind the mp3s, pictures during the night are horrible *but during the day very very good, and what bugs me most is that menus are kind of slow. otherwise, great buy, good phone for working people, strongly recommended

Can it keep a Java application running in the background? Can it run more than one Java application at once? Please let me know, that is all what's keeping me from buying this phone.

Thank you!

I like the keypad. It's flat yet easy to press. Especially when i send msg. The size is great, it's slim and has a solid feeling. I just love the mp3 ringtones it's so clear and loud.
Thumbs up for this time round !

Hi,
just wanted to mention something I "discovered" with siemens mobiles.
Usually the "Turn on phone" dialogue is displayed during booting if the PIN security of the SIM card is turned off.
Maybe you did have SIM card without PIN security in the phone?
