lucky that we've unlocked phones only in India

we might pay more initially but then we're not suffering from career specific upgrade delays (Verizon galaxy nexus)
or locked boot loaders

the careers are forced to compete over just the call charges and data plans
and since recent policy changes allows you to retain the number and switch career (number portability) the bad service ones have suffered significantly

hence the call rates are cheapest in the world

Not to sound pissy but gsmarena has had the lumia for weeks now and still no review. Why you no review lumia? Htc has some of the worst combinations ever. Great specs but no memory. Or memory but no battery. I cant commit to htc half devices. Everybody wants the full package. Samsung and motorola has that locked

Suprised to see the battery life be that good... but does it support true multitasking (as in when pausing a game, going to another app and not restarting it when you get back in, like One X does)...pack a micro SD slot or more internal storage (64GB) and at least 2500mAh battery and you got a winner ;)

Damn I just LOVE Sense (a lot of it, not all) and just miss it so much now that I went ahead and bought Note 2. Nova launcher + WidgetLocker work like charm and get rid of that gnarly TouchWizz but those Sense widgets are too damn hot and the stock Sense browser cannot be matched by any other ;)

Great device! I really hope HTC comes back into game. I can't wait for the international launch of the DNA when I will try it in my hands. Good luck HTC ! I'm really impressed. As much as I'm concerned, there are close to zero downsides of the DNA. Lol!

nice one HTC! for all techies out there, stop comparing it to the note 2. the note 2 has virtually no competition, since no other device a dedicated and UI integrated stylus. u can compare it to s3 or galaxy premier. be fair, yeah?

Impressive to say the least. HTC have done a good job with this phone, looks good, great display and powerful chipsets. That's what I expect from any Phone released late 2012 and onwards after the revolutionary year we've had.
That being said I still don't see anything unique or anything that stands out when comparing this to a Note 2 which has a longer battery life, user accessible battery, S Pen, SD Slot and many niceties like Smart Alert/Rotate, Direct Call, Overview, Pop up Play, Multitasking.. I can go on all day..

I'm aware that it's an unfair comparison to make because the Note2 essentially has no rival in it's market so to speak. But the Note 2 still falls under the "Smartphone" category albeit it's a smartphone with a tablet taste.
Same goes for Optimus G, they've made a good looking powerful phone with great specs but nothing too innovative or breath taking.
I'll credit HTC on one thing though, atleast they kept it real unlike LG who seem to have an inferiority complex with Samsung. LG has copied several software tricks the S3 introduced and that's quite appaling from a company as big as LG.
That being said though the Droid DNA is a fantastic phone but for me the Note 2 is still the number one device in the market!
