Nokia Lumia 920 review: The Luminary - read the full textNot the best of times then for the Finns, but the right time for a flagship to show its worth. Saying that the future of the company is being decided here is probably too much. But the Lumia 920 could be the difference between living with dignity and scratching a living on emerging markets...

Hey just found out during alarm pressing either volume will put it to silent. Phone will be unlocked though, so next press is lock. Very handy during meeting / prayer n phone in pocket, just stride your fingers to silent n lock no need to put it out. Didn't know that before.

Review shows photo comparison prior to firmware upgrade. Why there is no update in photo review considering this device is image centric device ? waiting for update.

Ok, latest update: unplugged from charger 10:00AM yesterday. Now after 36hours 23% remaining, always wifi connected, data connection off, 3G off, since I'm in remote area. Always silent due to office condition.

Got it on 29Dec. Battery life dropped from 100% to 25% from 6AM to 2PM. Reset, reinstalled whassap etc., drain the battery to shutdown then hold few more hours after full charge (as suggested in some wpcentral forum). Now with NFC on, Bluetooth on, white background (for outdoor clarity), no battery saving, 3G on, data connection on, some background app unblocked, still got 22% after 24 hours. I personally find that very acceptable. 3rd party software would benefit from improved stability, though. In the meantime, I'm enjoying my nude 920 and now posting from it :)

Good news for lumia lovers in INDIA... The nokia lumia 920's official web page is down. I checked it at 11.54pm local time today. This indicates that there's definitely something cooking inside - hopefully they are updating official web page for lumia 920.

This leaves a clue that the official launch is not too far away now.. May be tomorrow (based on live chat with nokia representative which also pointss to the end of the first week of jan i.e. they presume from 1st to 7th). So cheers guys!! Fingers crossed!!

Here's the web page :
