Samsung I9105 Galaxy S II Plus preview: First look - read the full textThe Samsung I9105 Galaxy S II Plus has borrowed the finish of the Galaxy S III and is powered by a new chipset with a Broadcomm GPU. It's not a sea change by any means, but no wonders are expected of the Plus version really. All it tries to do is freshen up a proven formula and help Samsung tighten its grip on the midrange...

Sort by:

Cortex CPU with Broadcomm GPU, this is what Nokia should have used in N9.

Samsung is killing s2 to force users to upgrade.
But I see s2 still has future with the developers

Bad job samsung...the broadcom videocore 4 gpu is the same found on the samsung galaxy y.
Samsung ridiculously stuck in a gpu of a phone one-fifth the price of a former flagship . :/
they should have put it dual core krait @ 1.2 ghz.Alteast the gpu is much better.

The Galaxy S4 with Exynos octa and surely a better design will kill the competition as always.
We'll wait and see.

I fail to see the "mind-boggling" difference between this "plus" version and a standard JB-equipped S2! In other words the only thing that makes a difference is the JB.

This should have been appropriately named the Galaxy S III mini, not the 4" screen one that has been recently sold. Just saying.. I wish this would lower the price of unsold or previously owned GS2's, love to get them. But sadly, not this one. Little has changed IMO.

The original S2 was so far ahead of the competition it is still a pleasure to use.
As long as the S2 Plus can still use the 2000mA Samsung extended battery can't really see any downside.
You never know it may even have LTE crammed in.
Obviously not a "top end" smart phone anymore, but who really needs (or uses) quad cores ?
