I really don't understand how in this case bigger display is advantage. 4.7 is too big and 5 is way too big. So for smaller display (in this case HTC One) is definitely an advantage. It is not a tablet, it's phone!
Just wait till HTC releases its update in April, which fixes many if not almost all of the flaws the camera currently has, removing some filters and other adjustments! Then compare cameras again! I like AMOLED, but LCD convinces me much more due to it being much more realistic looking than AMOLED. Software wise, the One will also be updated to 4.2.2 eventually. Also, being the only flagship for the year, I'm sure updates will be more reliable and frequent. Finally, feature wise, most of the features on the S4 are pure gimmicks (air view, air share, etc...), whereas the ones on the One are a bit more useful (Zoe, Highlights, BlinkFeed) and some others really make it stand out from the competition (BoomSound, dual stereo speakers, wide angle cameras, etc...)! In the end, it's really up to people's needs, wants and likes. But, as for me, I have no doubt my next phone will be the HTC One and it's the best decision for me, as it has everything I wand, need and love! Battery, on the other hand, could've been bumped to 3,000+ mAh atleast... But I guess Motorola will forever have the crown when it comes to the most longest lasting smartphone battery life title.
The Galaxy S4 is the better phone. But I think HTC can make a comeback with this device. Maybe next year this phone will give them the resources to compete with Samsung, on a more level playing field.
LoveAndroid, 27 Mar 2013Increase in PPI does benefit to daily work. A higher PPI allows one to read more text and clea... more~ 250 PPI is already enough for reading fine text, more than that will only LOOK better, it's not like you can read fonts so small without hurting your eyes.
And I praise the One not simply for the design, but for the build quality and feel.
I don't get it what S4 have so much better than the One aside from the camera, and in fact, the One camera is not even bad, just disappointing resolution. If all that the GS4 have considerably better than the One is the camera, I really believe that the design, the build quality and the feel of the One is a great advantage, for those who don't care any less for resolution from pictures from smartphones.

[deleted post]You didn't even bother to check the EXIF data did you? Here, let me help: download and save the image, then right click and go to "properties", go to the "details" tab and voila!

htc sense, 27 Mar 2013the reason samsung put removeable battery because their phone often hang and very very lags so... moresenseless comment i've seen so far.. All handsets hangs once in a while. What are you gonna do if your HTC or iphone hangs? let it drain then charge it right? the purpose of having removable battery is to make sure that you can easily fix the problem of hanging by removing the battery to force close the handset. Again, please make sense when posting.
htc sense, 27 Mar 2013the reason samsung put removeable battery because their phone often hang and very very lags so... moreu only say that SGS phoens are laggy. 50 million users never says that. and if i want non removable battery i ll go for sony xperia z. which will give better performance than HTC one. and if i want better battery performance phone means, i ll suerly go for motorala. never for htc one.
Just a simple question As I already read in your website there is a software update for HTC one that fix a bug in the camera, which help to capture a better images...Did you use that update in your comparison??
NaGa R, 27 Mar 2013htc one has 4MP ultra pixel camera. good i ll buy one new DSLR camera. htc one has boom boom ... morethe reason samsung put removeable battery because their phone often hang and very very lags so the user need to remove the battery to restart the craps phone unlike htc phone never hang....hahahahha
PARAG B, 27 Mar 20131) This was not a fair comparision 2)HTC one stands nowhere near the SGS4 in performance a... moreThe Z camera i far worse than the S4 camera, and the Z screen is a total disaster, and the Z sound quality is very bad because of the "waterproofing", and having to remove a flap/cover everytime you want to plug in headphones is very annoying, and the design is just a flat boring rectangle and is more like no "design" at all, and the flat backpanel and sharp edges make it uncomfortable in the hand, and even gorilla glass can not survive any accidental drops because it is mostly made to be scratch resistant but is not really good if dropped so Z needs a "plastic" case just as the iPhone 4S needs a "plastic" case even though it is made of "strong" glass!
