I will not consider this phone as replacement to my Nokia 808 Pureview. I bought an SG Camera recently and Im not totally satisfy. Too strong flash, A little blurry when no flash was used and too delicate body parts. If they will use the same SG camera hardware, i will not definitely buy this. Why Samsung using so much plastic materials nowdays?
Raman Duhan, 14 Jun 2013You better show somedamn RESPECT for NOKIA 808 PUREVIEW and NOKIA EOS..they are the Godfathers... moreFirst of all completely unrelated and ranty
Second the Purview is not that old..still newish and not a grandfather
Third yes Nokia deserves mad respect....But guess what.
For many years Samsung has rivaled them in camera tech and beat them numerous times. Nokia was not the best or first to every camera. Take the Pixon12 for instance. Still one of the best around. The N8 didnt come out til almost a year later and was not even truly and fully superior.
Tux, 14 Jun 2013It's a shame that the Zoom cannot match the 808's picture quality though, isn't it? :)It's a shame you would post that without actually knowing if it's true or not.

MobilePowerUser, 14 Jun 2013This is going to crash and reboot daily because it runs AndroidWhen is the last time you used Android? On an old cheap one a couple years ago? And you must not have used any smart phone in general because they all crash.
Nokia's 808 Pureview doesn't have optical zoom. Get your facts straight.
only if the lens were better.
but the camera quality is decent even compared to mid size cameras.
Anonymous, 14 Jun 2013N93 announced in 2006, was not a smatphone iboy. Take it deep. LOLTake it deeper LOL, n93 might not meet the requirements to be called a smartphone these days, but u have to know that it was a smartphone at the time
This is going to crash and reboot daily because it runs Android
the nokia pureview beats this hands down, and it is two years old
Sharp was the first to came up with optical zoom - V602SH
Then Samsung introduce SPH-2300 in 2004 as well. Then introduce SCH-B600 in 2006. =)
Haha what a pathetic thing. A camera with smarthphone ambitions. Crappy screen, dual-core processor with Android with means it will be slow and laggy. Huge optical lens on the back, which makes it very uncomfortable to use. This is a camera, with smarthphone ambitions. Not a smarthphone with a good camera on the back. Face it, it's just the way it is. Sorry for samsung, but another failure trying to compete in the camera phone market.

Take it deep. LOL
''It all comes down to pricing - the S4 zoom needs to be priced around the S4 mini ''
GSMArena, are you insane ?? LOL
Hahha too bad Samsung has best CAMERA as deemed by camera tests and BEST SCreen as deemed by dxolabs
15 mm thickness? Maybe on 1/3 of the device... Come on GSM Arena,be objective. You had it in your hands, don't tell me you didn't measure real thickness?
Nokia already made a cameraphone with optical zoom (N93 announced in 2006) before Samsung W880 (announced in 2009)
