Nokia 6131 review: Highly addictive
Nokia has prepared an excellent new phone, which is not only attractive, but also well equipped with modern capabilities. At a pretty competitive price you get a black-silver clamshell with two top-class color displays, automatic opening system, a megapixel camera, radio, a MP3 player, a memory card slot, Bluetooth, EDGE, and a detailed menu.

Hi Guys there ,
I bought this phone 6131 and I find it good enough comparing to its price.. but just one Question and I hope I can find someone to help me here..
it's about the call timer !!
in many other phones I can activate both (1)call summary and (2)call duration ..
the call summary is available in 6131 which pop up after you hang up.
but the call log duration , I can't view it while I'm talking in the main screen ,,
please please ... can anyone help me in this , whether there is an option I don't know about , or is there any software I can install on the phone to do some help about this topic..
waiting for your respond

Hi guys, I forgot to mention one thing for the previous question. I played the videos, which i tried to play from 6131 in 6233 and they worked absolutely superb. I contacted the Nokia service center, but they said they cannot help on that. Is there anything I could do to get this fixed? Please mail me.

Hi guys, I too have a 6131 phone. I am very much satisfied with the phone except for one pestering thing. I don't know whether I had bought a faulty one or the phone itself is like that. The videos i play from the phone have a problem. Both the audio and video does not sync together. Infact the audio is playing faster than the video. Whether i play it from the phone memory or memory card. I have been facing this problem from the day i bought it. Does anyone has encountered this problem or do anyone have a solution for this? Please mail me.

I bought a 6131 three weeks ago so I could use it on a trip to the US and Canada. (It worked fine.) I really wanted a very basic quadband but found this one was within my budget. I have been blown away many times now as I gradually discover what this beautiful phone can do. It's true that the battery life isn't that great but after a few full charge cycles, it seems okay. (The first charge went down with worrying speed.) Mine has English, French, German and Greek. This latter is a very attractive, legible font and it arrives looking good even on my old phone which I thought could only display Greek capital letters. The predictive spelling knows where the stress should be, though it doesn't correct my bad grammar! The phone is quite simply amazing and I don't mind admitting that I'm addicted to it! Thanks Nokia!

I have had this phone Nokia 6131 Pink for 3 weeks, and I love it! Screen is fabulous (ok lack of cover is of concern, but no dramas so far). Flip feels strong, the buttons don't scratch the screen, as I have read that somewhere. The silver area has not scratched either so far. The ringtones are great, downloading more is easy, sound is great, volume fine and adjustable. Easy to use, large keys make texting easier, fonts are fine in size and I am vision challenged! Memory card came with the phone which was fabulous. I haven't used the bluetooth that came with it yet, so can't comment on that. Camera excellent in good light, and still fine for a phone camera in less ideal light. Outer screen is good for self-portraits. If I wanted to take pictures to keep and cherish I wouldn't take them on a phone anyway! Came with headphones, memory card and bluetooth which I thought was good. Not sure if it comes in pink everywhere, but it certainly does in Aus. Love it. Only thing I would have liked is a cover for internal screen and wallpapers/themes that are befitting a pink phone! I have had no trouble with this phone so far, it is a pleasure to use.

Ups of 6131: the screen, the flip button, the clear loud sounds, fast software speed.
Downs: SHORT bat. life (very short), no protection glass of the screen, pour 1.3 camera (surprising thing), no USB cable and no mem. card in the box.

Basically I like this phone but I cannot find any automatic keypad lock and have to put it on manually every time. Does anyone know if it has an automatic facility and if so, how it works please.
