Can't agreed more with kunal. I've always been a hardware qwerty supporter. Just retired my Nokia 302 to Q5. It's pity that not many maker release phone with qwerty keyboard.
KunalChaudhry, 02 Aug 2013My first comment ever, probably because i felt the review was a bit too harsh on the phone. I ... moreYes Aggrd ....BB is not all about gamin entertainment.....BB is all about corporate .its not casual its professional .........so better we keep base same and then compare with other brand i sure BB will will.......ITS CULT....
My first comment ever, probably because i felt the review was a bit too harsh on the phone. I had a S3, switched over to the One X. But a Blackberry has always been a faithful companion.
Q5, may not be all that great on the music or camera front, but it more than meets your needs for the same.
I bought a q5 as a birthday gift for my mother. its been a week and i have already started saving to buy one for myself.
Its a breeze BBM is way better than its copies - whatsapp and wechat etc.
i love the new gesture controls - its a one hand / thumb operation all the way.
and lets face it - one screen keyboard v/s hardware qwerty keyboard - any one up for a typing speed test??? bring it on.
The reason why Blackberry will always be my first choice :
1. Blackberry Protect
2. Blackberry travel
3. Password keeper
4. smooth changeover from one BB to another without the need to infrom all my BBM contacts of the new BB pin
4. Last but not the least - BBM
Simply put - i trust my data with Blackberry knowing it wont snoop around to push ad's at me. Cant do that with iphone or android.
I dont think it'll be wise to call a qwerty keyboard a relic of the past.
For the first time it feels as if you were biased against Blackberyy and wrote the review with an intention to kill it.
I have been a gsmarena follower for almost 6-7 years.... hence the surprise
Go home u r drunk bb! Low spec high price. No one will buy ur product
I was really interested in buying this phone even after its stupid pricing. But after reading the review and sad camera quality it has to offer, I will shy away. Wish the company get some sense and produces genuine smartphone so that the loyal users aren't fooled in such devices. Give a decent camera and get the pricing right please
The problem with the device is the price
And I don't know why bb has provided the black q5 only to every review site
I've seen it in white and it looks much better, in fact rather pretty
jagwar, 28 Jul 2013blackberry is going to grandpa's company now due to older technologyWhich older technology is that?
Blackberry is a company which should simply kneel down, give and GTFO... They know their problems, their limitations and the usp of rivals, yet they cant come with a single good phone...
Mohammed, 27 Jul 2013i got this one. its a work horse Hi, am interested to buy this phone . Can you tell me as user, is it easy to remove the sticker on the back and feels the keyboard when typing not that good as mentioned in the review ?
so according to u, last ur cheap phones are competitors to blackberry phone? samsung ativ dont have a good sale and still u compare that with BB
Does the screen of Q5 looks bigger then say an entry level android phone with 3.2" diaplay?
a Blackberry with non-removable battery?
are they smoking crack?
no one will buy it.
Blackberry needs to bring the price of all their phones down by at least 25% if they want any chance to survive. I know BB is already operating at a small loss right now, but I think they need to sacrifice more of their bottom line for a few quarters in exchange of market share, as windows phone already entrenched firmly in the third place. With only around 3% share of global smartphones' shipment in this quarter, BB is in a serious situation.
