i just bought a 2nd hand nokia 6233[again!]as i've already got one 2 years ago but i gave it to my close friend. i was so delighted that i still found one which is still in a good condition and updated firmware version 05.60. i wasn't really planning to buy one but when i went on to a window cellphone shopping around town,i came upon it... it is still for me the best midrange phone although its already an "old" model...its audio sound is the best, keypads are the best,fast 3g,resolution and camera are better, supports a 2gb memcard etc etc...so without any hesitation i bought it at php2,300!

got the n0kia 6233 music editi0n(white one wIth music stand) on august 2008 as my first phone purchased fr0m my salary. I am proud to say that this phone rocks and until now i am still using it and it is still in perfect condition. Though just recently it became my secondary phone because i bought a nokia N82. B0th phones are really good and kn0cks out their rival phones in their category.

there is no option to see video in fast or reverse mode

I found that adding a 2gb memory card, Opera mini, and a gmail application greatly improved this phone.

i have problem in my inbox.there are shown in open to inbox message memory not ready to used and then blotooth not open inbox problem

Nokia 6233 simply rocks in all aspects...... lots of fun n maximum usage i had...

After updation of firmwere in 6233 , i can not download any application in my phone. also it can not support to any file.

This is a no-nonsense phone. Apart from the many features, which you will see written anywhere, the following points stand out:
- really FAST - no lag for the menus or operations.
- you can set up shortcuts on lots of keys to make it even faster
- nice comfortable keypad. Nokia went through a phase of weird keypads that sucked, this was one of their more practical designs.
- great screen - a real steal for the money.
Download Opera Mini (www.operamini.com) to replace the rather bad built-in browser, and add a bigger memory card and you will have a great, cheap "smart" phone.

Downsides are the lack of a front video camera - but IMO that is mostly a gimmick and if you miss it, this phone is not for you. The camera could be better at night, but is otherwise decent.

I've bought 2 of them (as 6234) and the second was even cheaper - NZ$270. Its really the best all round phone in its price.

I got this fone last yr.. It rocks in every aspects..

But the only drawback i found in this fone is tat we cant ff/rev videos. Although it has a feature to set the interval time for ff/rev , it doesnt works for videos... since there wud be no controls for ff/rev while playing videos....

Music - very very good. equipped wit 2 speakers !
Camera : Still pics - Not bad... If taken on a sunny day, it wud be nice.

Video - Excellent video capturing ability wit this fone....

Web - Mediocre. not bad.

Display - Superb display.

Games & other stuff - all java games wud be supported.. I've lots n lots of games in this fone.. While playing games , i can even listen to music (Multitasking ! )... :)

This one here is an awesome phone to have.The excellently honned almost mirror finish steel rim looks very very attractive. The display is very crisp and attractive and the colours are exciting. The sound is as tough you are carrying a mini stereo system with you. PC-Phone transfers over usb are breeze. But I dont care too much for the Nokia media player. All the multimedia sometimes makes you forget it's a phone you are holding. Obviously telephoney is too good. Battery lasts 2 days. Key pad phenominally comfortable to use and response is quick. Ringtones etc. o.k. Phone book is great.
It's a great phone. Will comfortably tide you over obselesence over a few years....unless, of course, you are a spendthrift.

Yeah,, I have this phone already in the past 2 months,, it is really a great phone, nice design,, you wont be regreting having it,, it was awesome, im not getting bored of it coz I always find it useful everyday, from a simple alarm clock, to MASS-SEND of SMS,, in the Philippines, texting is very popular, MMS sending, I can write blogs using its MMS features from Phone to WEB!! (nikz26.multiply.com)

It has a very loud stereo, a QVGA display, I can watch full movies save in MPEG or 3GP format, save in my 2GB Memory Card, take note, 2GB Memory Card is great, it doesnt give any hangs or lags,, Music player is quite a downside, very limited functionality and video player offer no FAST FORWARDING, but in the settings you will see the fast forward time frame, but it is useless,, I have recently updated my phone's firmware from v5.10, to 5.43, no available 5.60 yet for me here in the PH, hope to have one soon,,

Its keypad is awesome, i can type message fast on it, it is very soft and suite my fingeres perfectly,, menu response are fast, web browsing is quite a downside too, no more special additions on it,,but i use Opera Mini instead,

Although having a bulk candy bar shape and heavy body, this phone rocks in its features, i used its 3G for fast data processing when accessing network, although using it for video calls are not that great having no front camera at all, but its all worth it, for me, its my best buddy, I uses it everyday, its the first thing I wanted when i woke up, and the last thing to see before sleeping,,I always carry it almost whenever I go, it amaze people who can see it, picture quality are great in GOOD lightning conditions, but not that horrible for a NON-Flash cam at night,,,

Its a great phone, a must have for those who want cheap affordable, non symbian, smartphone and expensive N-Series..
BTW, it beats N70 & N72 in its features,, ...

I also got this fone about a week ago and I'm totally enjoying it and thanking the gods that I didn't waste nearly $75 more on the nokia 6120 classic when this fone has all the feature I want.

I want to point out a mistake that the editor of this article has made, the media player cannot rewind or fast forward, this function is only for streaming videos! :)
