Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. LG G2: Neighbor squabble - read the full textThe Samsung Galaxy S4 is the Android flagship to beat based on sheer sales, but the LG G2 one ups it in just about every way possible. Two South Korean neighbors and bitter rivals are once again standing in each other’s way, and for us, users, choosing a...

It took LG all this time just to be a little better. Obviously it's only big advantage is it's updated cpu.

The S4 has better overall display. It even has natural mode with overall more accuracy.

It captures more detail in pictures and videos without OIS while LG has OIS. Explain that.

S4 is thinner with removable battery and sd slot. Huge plus.
Better audio, better features, better multi tasking "on a slower chip".

Obviously the G2 is great and has advantages "mainly S800", but not even it's OIS takes the cake..And it's quite apparent that LG has been practically replicating the Galaxy line with it's desiogn, UI, and features.

LG is known for bringing the latest in technology all the time but they screw up so badly with the quality that they provide that none of their products survive in the wild for long.
G2 seems to be the new hope for LG but I doubt it will attract the crowd over Z1 and new S4 with Snapdragon 800 variant coming in the market along with G2.

G2 wins this...for people who want a removable battery.I am sure with G2 kind of battery life...I won't bother with removable battery..since after 2 years I'll be upgrading it.Also 26Gb is enough for most users....for those 15-20% users can choose S4.

Samsung gave a good fight overall....and is priced relatively cheaper....for an average consumer...S4 looks the best option....

For the geeks, tech savvy and premium users...G2 is like a jewel in hand.also the snapdragon 800 is easily 2014 proof.

LG G2 is boring. SGS4 has all the hardware and software novelties covered.

> In reply to junay @ 2013-09-17 12:37 from PUmB - click to readThere is only one aspect in this review where the SGS4 lost to LG G2 and that is battery life and the difference is not even that great. There is no reason to be bitter when the SGS4 clearly stomps over the LG G2 in every other aspect.

Just consider one, battery life, G2 sits on the pinnacle of web bwrosing time in all of the competition, even note3, note 2 can only dream of.

SGS4 is still the best Android smartphone of the year. A better processor alone doesn't make the LG better. SGS4 is better overall.

> In reply to junay @ 2013-09-17 09:41 from vjXE - click to readLOL. Let's take it to a drop test and see which phone will break first. A bezel-less LG G2 or the phone with a lot of bezel, Sony Xperia Z1. The huge bezel on the Z1 has a purpose. The Z1 is a sturdy and elegant phone at the same time. Scratch-proof, dust-proof, water-proof, shatter-proof all at once. The LG G2 ain't either of them. LG G2's design is a complete ripoff of the S4, not to mention the software derives greatly from Samsung's touchwiz. It has no identity of its own. And OIS has no big practical advantage. I'd take the excellent low-light camera performance of Z1 over the useless OIS of LG G2 anyday.

LG mopped the floor with the S4 out of the water and back in the bucket again here. LG is truly a winner no doubt!

SGS4 is better. LG G2 is an SGS4 wannabe and the original will always be better.
