Nokia 6233 review: Discreet business tool

Nokia 6233 review: Discreet business tool - read the full textA medium-sized candybar with a lot of nerves, Nokia 6233 is one of the current Nokia handsets that might interest you in case you are looking for non-smartphone 3G solution. What is more, the classic styled mobile offers a great TFT display, great stereo speakers, microSD card slot, and a 2 megapixel camera capable of capturing video in the exciting VGA resolution, just to name a few.

I had this phone for about a week, then sold it on eBay and bought E50 with the new Symbian (only slightly more expensive than 6233). If you're after business/office functions rather than camera and radio, you won't regret E50 - much better phone in my opinion.

to the poster below:
the thing is all you ask is in 6233... there is such a thing as "mark" in the phone to add contacts just like the n series... (sometimes its good to learn more about your phone) i too came from an n70 but i dont regret making the shift, i dont have to wait forever for themes to load, for music to refresh, and no lags in my menus... as for backing up contacts, that can easily be done using the pc suite

i regretted switching from my N series mobile to the 6233 because the latter's software has limitations. Unlike the N series where I could just keep marking the contacts for sending group smses, i have to individually add one by one thus making it cumbersome. further, it can't backup my contacts to my memory card. but then again, if this is a budget phone and I can't expect it to perform as well as the N-series or else the N series wouldn't sell.

I love Nokia6233 because of features and hate it because of similar shape as ordinary phones. still thinking to buy because of this reason..

There are only two major criticisms of this phone - no video calls and no flash on the camera. Who really gives a damn? If you want to make video calls for some unfathomable reason, then get another phone. The camera is not as bad as reviewers say, except for the lack of flash. Personally I can't be bothered taking photos of drunk people at nightclubs so that doesn't bother me.

Oh yeah and not enough memory. This is a stupid point since the memory is expandable with a bigger SD card.

The phone is a good size for a 3G phone, it has the Nokia S40 interface (which is the best out there by far), it's fast, has an awesome screen, and acceptable battery life. It looks good and the keypad looks good.

For the price, it's got all the features I need and no bullshit. It's a quality phone.

Well, like I seee, people have different opinion about this nokia 6233. Some say it sucks, some say it rocks. I haven't got one, but I care more about what I think. This cell phone is cool. U can enlarge its memory up to 2 Gb, which is very important. The phone looks really good, with all that 3 D design. The radio should have rds, but after all it has got many functions for that price. In my country it costs about 250 Euro. I'm going to buy one in the next two weeks. Talk to u then. Star

I bought Nokia 6233 just 2 weeks back. To say, "6233 IS THE BEST MODEL AT ITS PRICE". Nokia really did a wonderful job in launching such a cute and professional product. The Camera is really excellent. Speakers are damn damn good excellent.
I suggest Nokia to provide some sort of protection to camera. I am much worried about scratches on it.

It's a nice cell phone. But there has some lacks. If this phone (N6233) have flash light & front camera then it will be a best cell phone in Nokia. It’s size, color, everything is very nice. And also if u reduce this phone price then it will be better for Asian (Bangladeshi) people.

I got 3 days ago a N 6233. It's ok, the keypad is great! The display a new well trained skill. I don't like the earfones, they don't fit well and why don't they stop when I put the radio on speakers? The phone would be much better if it would have more internal memory. But the video feature is great, it looks realy fluid. The speakers, even if there are louder give a great feeling of the music.I want to mention the wireless presenter program which works perfectly, no bugs or errors! It works even on 6230i! The 6.7 PC Siute is not as good as the latest version 6.8. Try it!

I have 6234 and i think it looks better than 6233. It's a great phone and it's very cheap in ROMANIA,cheaper than 6233. I think that this two phones are an alternative from smartphones.

Can I ask why people are complaining anout ONLY having 500 entries available in the phone book? There are also several different fields available under each of those 500 entries to store different contacts... seriously how many do you need? If you have 1000 business contacts I seriously hope you dont rely on a mobile phone as the sole storage device for those precious numbers!
