A friend of mine from Netherland brought this phone, Alcatel OT-E227 For me but can't access( not working) it there in kenya. I put Kenya SIM card but in vein. What should i do?

its a very cute phone/ wana buy this phone asap.. but cant because i am in india n in india we dont have alcatel phones , i wish these phones can be manufactured in india or sold in india ... :),,, but m not gona give up , wil try n get this phon...
