I have a Blackberry 9700... But it cant connect to wifi...

I've had almost all types of bbs from os6.. Curve, bold, torch.. And went back to 9700... This one and 9780 are the best bbs tha rim has created so far.. Awesome battery life

> In reply to Jed @ 2011-12-31 15:36 from t7B2 - click to readu can't say the "only difference". yes, 3.2 n 5 megapixel is something. but dont forget the RAM. 9780 is 512mb, and 9700 is 256mb.its a lot of difference.if u r a blackberry user, u know what the big deal bout ram.if u dnt know how to use it wisely,it'll alway stuck and hang.so bigger ram is better, its really a big deal...

2. Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion and unplug BlackBerry.
3. Goto (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/s...d_sites.jsp) locate your carrier and locate your phone OS file or (http://blackberryrocks.com/cat...tem-updates) to download and install the phone software on your computer.
4. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named “vendor.xml.”
5. remove internet connection to PC and reboot. (this is needed to stop referencing the vedor.xml file)
6. Plug in BlackBerry Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and double click on “Loader.exe.”
7. restore apps, settings, etc from backup.
enjoy the new OS.

You can release more memory by deleting all the social network (IM's) applications you dont need, or just all of them. Also delete podcasts, any games and social feeds. Easy to do in applications management. Hardware restart and turn off location enable. You will have much more memory and the mobile will be faster and smoother.

I updated the OS to version 6 but then delete the so called social network rubbish and wow the BB has a new lease of life. This, together with turning off location enable has sped up the BB considerably so now I dont not have to upgrade the BB
