clear what kind of data? If you are referring to is a factory reset, you can do it via options -> security -> security wipe and make sure the check box just to the user installed applications and type in blackberry to confirm. But if you mean is to remove the entire system, then you can use a free application like BBSAK. And then you can re-install the operating system. I would suggest taking a backup of data and contacts before doing so

Pls I upgraded to os6 and since then I ah not been able to view received or downloaded media files unlessu I go to the media card and open the file. Pls I need ur ideas on what the cause could be cos my media files don't appear automatically unless I go to open them myself and this is always stressful most especially when I restart my device.

There are some applications you may require a complete application on your blackberry:
A. QuickPull: You do not need to do a hard reset by removing the battery, simply run QuickPull to do so.
2. Appslock: to lock the application on your blackberry device and display the password to open it.
3. Blackberry protect: to do a backup phonebook, contact phone, blackberry mesengger and so on. And if your BlackBerry is lost due to theft, you can perform the tracking through the blackberry website
4. Saver batteries: Battery power management for your blackberry
5. Screengrabber: to capture the activity that appears on your screen like sms and blackberry messenger, etc.
actually there are many useful applications you may require but 5 of the above applications can be said to deserve your attention
