Hello, guy, dis is simple u can update ur nokia n97 by click ur menu key, from ur meny u see applications after opened u see software update u click on it by doin dat it will take u to d internet den u stroll down to d latest software 4 ur nokia n97 den u click on it, bt it will take u a long time to complete d updatin. But u must hv at least 30mb data bundle on ur phone.

This phone is very good, and even though it's 4 years old now it still has many of the features nowadays phones have. It's only problems are RAM and the CPU CLOCK SPEED(434) (so multitasking is somewhat awful) but RAMblow and SPEEDY GO! can help you with that (you can get them on http://www.cellphonesoft.com (for RAMblow and SPEEDY GO!) or http://www.mobile9.com (for RAMblow) or even http://getjar.com (for RAMblow)).
I use this phone and simply love it!

that is very nice piece but not make all the softwares in this phone. Remaining all features are very good.

Been using this phone since release for 3 years. Using this phone gives total nightmare as the performance is f**king slow.
I don't have any idea why nokia gives 434Mhz for this phone. If I were the phone engineer I would have known 434 is a disaster.
Serve them right that nokia sales have gone to the drain. They thought the consumers will be faithful to them always. Nokia can suck my c**k.
Since my n97 is stolen, i don't think the thief is happy anyway as the phone lags like hell. I'm using xperia s now and I've never been happier.
Pros:
-Qwerty Keyboard
Cons:
-Poor internal memory (After installation and updates, only 30MB left)
-Low PPi
-Super LAG

what i like about n97 is the design..others including hware/os/quality sux most..if u not yet buy this phone..pleasssse dont buy it..
