As I was looking around the page I understood that some people want to downgrade their cellphone.
At first, I myself upgraded my phone to android ICS but Finally I couldn't put up with it and then I decided to install the Official Gingerbread with the link below.
If anyone wants to downgrade their phone, can follow the instructions that are mentioned in the link below:
http://androidadvices.com/down...-firmware/2/
Hope to enjoy your Xperia Ray with android 2.3.4 .

I am using this phone for past 2 months.
1.The main problem of the phone is while taking photos the phone will not flash only will give photolight which will give poor light in dark. 2.Some time the phone hangs very heavily & the heating of battery is often. No soft keys for home button is an another issue.
3.The long size makes uncomfortable to type
4. Camera often hangs,no options as in cyber shots.
5.8 MP is doubtful at all
6.Internal memory is only 300MB which is not sufficient for applications.
7.using 100% memory as well as cpu even after installing apps killer software which makes heating of phone and hanging
8.Dont go for ICS upgradation which will make the situation more worse

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-05-26 20:06 from uNVC - click to readUpdating the Android OS to ICS, will definitely improve the over-all performance of this magnificent Xperia Ray...based on my experience, from the first time I updated my phone to ICS, its a little bit laggy but after resetting the phone to factory setting and removing all the files in my SD card, everything works absolutely amazing! The phone works fast than ever and the performance of the battery is great! (save first your files to your pc/laptop before resetting your phone/SD card)...i hope this will help...

Some say update works fine , some say lagging, what should I go?I think the best answer would be check for myself. Please tell me is it possible to get back to gb from ics, how can that be possible? One last thing, is shutter speed decreases in ics coz I like it so much,I take several photos at a time,g8 phone.

Bought it last week in ebay (Rs. 13,100)... excellent phone, came with android 2.3.. immediately upgraded to 4.03 no problem in installation, took me more that 2 hours to upgrade. My skype & google video chat works fine in 4.03. Camera is reasonably good. Battery is just ok... will have to wait for some more full charging & discharging to make it stable.
thumbs up for ray

> In reply to iftekhar @ 2012-05-25 01:19 from vQ1n - click to readI am using RAY for 1 1/2 month.. I think its not normal because I charge my phone for 2 hours i think.. but i'm sure that it's not for 5hrs..
i charge my phone when it is already 20% and it is better if you will not use it while charging.
heating up is just normal on this phone... i don't upgrade the ICS of my ray because of the negative comments that i read.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-05-25 17:23 from uNVC - click to readI have recently my courteous xperia Ray to Ice cream sandwich but I couldn't put up with it. The speed of the cellphone decreases so much, also some programs don't work out properly. I strongly recommend you, DO NOT UPDATE IT TO ANDROID 4.
And finally I had to uninstall it and now my phone runs in android 2.3.4.
