Been using the phone for the past 5 months. Used OS 5 for 4 odd months n been using OS6.0.0.534 for the past 15 days. Please take note if you are considering to buy.
Positives:
Small form factor so easy to carry around
Full Blackberry functionality despite small factor
Superb battery life
Great call/audio quality

Negatives:
Half Qwerty...maybe ???
Build quality not the best...especially near the screen portion. In my phone dust particles got into the casing and on the display. I will have mine sent to the service center n have someone take a look at that. Anyone else have such an issue?

Negatives Associated With OS6:
Battery life goes to hell
Quite Laggy
Phone restarts while playing a youtube video over 3-4 minutes in duration

My conclusion:
If you are fine with OS5 this phone packs quite a punch for its size.

Can anyone let know how to setup email account on this one.On entering the email setup option i get that enterprise setup but there are 2 options shown in the manual whereas i can see only one .Can anyone help me on this.Thanks

How do you see the time a phone call was missed if your mobile was off at the time of the missed call. I turned on my mobile thereafter & the time the missed call places is the time I turned my phone on. Does anyone know if there is a way to see what time the missed call took place as it doesn't appear when I open up the missed notification? Please Help!

It's sleek and is a half-qwerty keypad phone. But it depends on your liking if you prefer to have a full keyboard or a half qwerty. Also, there's not much comparison with this phone and curve 3G as the curve has a full keyboard and has a 2MP camera without flash whereas the pearl 3G has a 3.2 MP camera with flash. The price of the Curve 3G is higher than the Pearl 3G. Except these changes the processor has no changes. Hope this comes of help to you.

I have some dust that has gathered under the display panel. Can anyone suggest as to how I can get that removed? Does anyone think I should go to the service center to get it removed?

this phone is simply amazing...it has looks,style and everything u want a phone to be...an ppl who think tht the half qwerty is sucky well i would just like to say screw u cause it dsnt matter an its awesome...

it depends on what u want from the phone.. if u want the camera to be good but the keypad to piss the shit out of u go for the pearl.. otherwise the curve is better.. thee curve 3g is around 14k and the dif. b/w curve and the 3g is that the new one can be updated to os6, has 3g and has gps.. so if u wanna throw in 4k more for those features then go for 3g. plus the 8520 is pretty old now.. kind of outdated!! good luck..hope this helps.
