Gentlemen: take it from experience, the best Blackberry phone I used so far and as of today is Bold 9700. It is well built from all aspects, durable, great battery life and never breaks down like the new models.

I've been using one of these on a daily basis for about 2 years now and it's still going strong! If you're purely into messaging, this phone can't be beat! The downside is the web browser is rather dire and there's not much memory to install apps after upgrading to OS6.

I've had my (T-Mobile) BB Bold 9700 for about 2 years now. I must say it is a cool phone unless your running a few apps at one time. The little clock running in the middle of the screen from a few seconds to possibly a minute or longer is a major problem that RIM ignores. I really got tired of taking my battery out of my phone everyday to reset it when i was using it heavy daily. Other than that the browser for the internet kept crashing since my last os update (spring 2012)whenever i got on a large website (not cool). The cure I was recommended for that problem was to disable java script. And to top it off the phone is really outdated when it comes to getting most apps that developers make for the newer iPhone, windows and droid brands. I'm moving on to a Samsung Galaxy S Blaze at this point..But if you buy this phone may the force be with you...

This phone is rock solid - just as what blackberry wants it to be. I am using this phone for about 2 years now and I have absolutely no problems with it. Even dropped it a few times already and all it needed was a new case. The battery life is also okay, I can use it comfortably with calls, heavy texting and full blown BB service for a good 12 hours without a charge.

Hi, application storage is quite limited.....if you update OS5 to OS6. Quite difficult to download any games or applications required.
