8300 is a GSM network phone, doesn't support CDMA. you probably bought a 8330 which is CDMA phone that you need to activate your phone line with your carrier, instead of inserting GSM sim card.

press the Alt key and the right shift and del key
that worked for me
it reset the phone and the camera error problem was gone
