Worst smartphone 2009 ever! (to date, maybe Moto will make even worse units later, as they seem to go back in time...)

Does any Motorola phone have 3G? I think it's 3G that killed Moto, really!

The specifications suggest, this one is a serious application based armor plated phone for those spending more time on field than in office, and those who need the unique barcode scanner etc. It’s an evolutionary model, suggesting the phone is much more than just a device to make voice calls, browse net, click pictures, play media, and find your way (GPS).
This actually re-opens up the industrial grade build quality in cell phones. Phone like this could be held up against the bandwagon lot like, hum-V in cars / G-shock in watches / Swiss army knife.
Not sure if this product will be a big-hit in the market, but it will surely last forever with those who get to buy it.
Also it opens up a niche segment. We could have so many more things in our phones:
Temperature / humidity / air pressure sensors,
Magnetic compass,
Ultrasonic ranging,
Infra-red vision,
Speed radar detection

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-05-31 13:08 from TIE7No Samsung unit can scan any barcode or RFID's like Moto's MC-series.
Don't know how many times I need to mention, this "device" is NOT intended for the mass market, indeed no consumer can likely purchase ONE unit right out of any phone shop.
So other than the GSM capability, this phone simply CANNOT be compared with any other GSM phone in the market, as the intended customers are TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
So to the rest of you, stop your non-sense comments about how this phone looks so 90's or whatever being behind others....as its barcode / RFID reading capability already being unmatch by anything else in the market.
Of course I do expect some only know how to write English but can't read...

Good device. Try taking an Omnia out and using it in a muddy field in the rain...
