I ve been using this phone for 8 months now.
I never ever had issues with it.
No overheating, no restarts, no key issues.
For all i know, its just a myth aimed to defame it, as this phone practically has no fault.
Its competent in every way and has a fair price and compact size.
So internet had to invent a way to defame it.
And the easiest thing to do, is report vague reports about liability issues that cannot be reproduced to any device and cannot be confirmed whatsover.
After 8 months using this phone daily, personally, its safe to conclude that this phone is as reliable as they get.
With less use, x10, iphone4, EVO 3D and SGSII had to restart once or twice and all had their own little issue, that i have yet to find in this little wonder.
Stop reproducing false myths and ask around, this phone is common enough, just ask the happy owners of mini about it, are they pleased with it?
I only have one issue, i appreciate that much its perfect form/specs/performance/price ratio and i am certain that when the time comes to replace it, the market will simply not offer any alternatives for it.
The phones are keep hrowing, that they become harder to stay mobile anymore and the small ones are regarded as cheap little phones for the casual user.
This phones shares the specs with all its brother line, with only one compromise.
The resolution. But it turns out to be an advantage, because its actual size not to matter and the less pixels on the same specs give it a performance boost.
PS: I ve noticed that most of the overheating reports come from Asia, mostly Philippines and early productions. I live in EU and i ve never heard of an overheated Mini here. Neither in the US continent.
So this problem, if it ever was real to begin with, surely does not affects every possible consumer and should not be taken as granted, as this forum tries to present it...

it's true that mini has 512mb of ram.. the reason why you only see 300+mb of ram is because that is the only user-accessible memory as the remaining 200+mb, which you're saying is "missing", is being consumed by android and timescape..

1.) Does this phone really have overheating problems? (as I read through some of the comments, some people say that it does heat up and messes up with the functionality of the phone)
2.) Does this phone hang on prolonged usage?
3.) Are there any updates to this phone that may resolve any known bugs?
4.) Can anyone provide an overall rating for this phone? (In terms of functionality and durability)

Sir,Bicutan is in Taguig.By the way,the phone is great. It's not laggy nor it doesn't hang.Plus, camera and other features are great.Although, it is a bit overstated as to the actual total RAM of the phone is only 335 MB, almost 200 MB short of the stated 512 MB. It is worthy enough for multitasking, yet it is lost.
