It is better than the boring Sharp phones. Still, it is not comparable with the other Nokia, Moto or Samsung, but it does something hard on the OS. Unlike Sharp, keep putting outdated CGS screen and Casio CCD len on the phone and pretending a high class product will finally go to the end.

Well, my dad had the 902T, its pretty similar to this one but i have to say the toshiba phones are not good for multimedia(camera,mp3,etc) mp3 is too much work to convert all that stuff when SE and Nokia phones where you can just drag and send.
Well the camera, it's not the best for a 3.2mp.. i'd choose the 903Sh or k790/k800 over this one for sure..

Can some one tell me if this uses MP3 as ringtones? I found it that most of times the spec says one thing, but in reality it doesn't support mp3 ringtones, or there is catch to it where mp3 ringtions are supported if certain format or size is correct, or loading it by certain program or softwares.

thanks

by far, the best phone i ever tried is Siemens, but this one i bought bcoz it looked cool =D
the goods : it's cool, the stereo sounds great (unless u converted it from a bad quality mp3), it has 6 options for surround and equalizer, it has a 15 sec answering machine (but it's in japanese), battery last quite long when you listen to songs with your earpiece, can scan QR codes and can pay with your SIM (well, only common in japan i guess), can take multiple shot (but low quality pics), it records wht you write in T9 (dynamic lybrary), etc
bads : cant play mp3 ringtones, cant play mp3 directly (have to use beat engine to convert), T9 always on in writing (push and hold * to disable T9), cant make SMS more than 160 char (it changes to MMS), cant receive MMS for non-vodafone user, gps positioning is using BTS

This is probably one of the worst phones I've ever had. The phone is only good for Japanese users. It's just too complicated. Has many features, but they are only good for people in Japan/Taiwan/China. The camera quality is not very good, because it has a CMOS sensor. My sharp 902 takes better pictures than this one. And also, you have to use the Beat software that comes with it in order for you to transfer mp3 to your miniSD card.
Overall, the clamshell is pretty good, the features are good too BUT its good only for the JAPANESE market.

if i knew the ui is so retarded, i would hv opt for the sharp 705. smaller, simpler, n cool. the extra features that came w the 904t isn't work the extra weight n bulk.

you have to use the "beat engine" software to transfer mp3 to the phone.

i can't get the phone to connect to my win xp pro notebook. nokia worked fine. i want to sync w my outlook contacts etc. anyone know how?

i miss my nokia. these jap phones hv lots of catching up w nokia in terms of ui n sync w pc.

i got and unlocked one from ebay for $285. the size wasn't what I expected lol. it's probably the the biggest phone I ever had lol. i got a 1gb memory card. put a bunch of mp3 and some images. none of mp3s worked and all gif images wouldn't work because "image size is too large". those are the negatives so far. i will update later!

The built-in MP3 player software has the 2 following functions: a 6-mode equalizer and a 6-mode surround... It has a stereo speaker as well.

Menu and sms language only in English and Japanese.

the 5 tiny buttons on the "Head" of the phone controls the mp3 player while the clamshell is closed, the keys can be locked if u wanna put the phone into your pocket...
