Nice to finally see a PDA phone that has a screen as large as 4.1 inches. I presently own a hp ipaq with a 4 inches screen and have been looking forward to a phone that would have a wide screen as my present device. This toshiba product looks promising the only surprise was what i read that it doesn't come with a 3.5 mm earphone jack ?? I want to believe that is untrue because if it is actually true then toshiba would be the greatest fool of them all, please Gsnarena guys please confirm it is not true ??????

This is what companies should be doing instead of sacrificing the features of the phone and making the os slimmer they should be upping the specs.

I think that the deciding factor for high-end phones like this is, the price.

1 GHz and a screen that big ... what about battery ? This will eat a lot of battery even in standby mode + winmo is one of worst solutions (even the new Symbian s60v5 that lacks some stuff is way better) ... At this specifications they could put Windows XP (you could play games like GTA or NFS :) )

I have followed closely all the comments about phones mostly the smartphone.
Come to think of it, we still have some computers that have 450Mhz in our homes.
That Toshiba is 1Ghz with huge screen. Really there may not be a perfect phone out there but we are seeing a great trend in the market.
However, there is a phone for everyone,
There are people still having a black and white TV set in their homes.
What about that.

with only 256K colors,a traditional LCD display, and a 3.2 MP camera this phone adds no real value to the arena--the only specification that might save it from being obsolete before hitting the shelves would be a very long battery life(>7hrs video playback)
--the OQO2+ offers more computing power, larger and better screen--technically however it is a mini-computer

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-02-05 13:00 from tANE - click to readjust because u dont take pictures dont mean others dont. u hav 2 consider overall not just yourself. for your phone, its fine but people ask for more and more. nokia's processor speed is ok for day to day running as well. im not talking about first generation of n series or whatever, im talkin about n95 8gb etc.

> In reply to jackson @ 2009-02-05 11:07 from M$2a - click to readIve got an iphone and ive got video recording on mine, very high quality too. Im glad apple didnt make video recording for it because no doubt it would have been terrible quality. The video recording I have pretty much takes photos very rapidly at the iphones cam resolution, making the quality good. It doesnt compress the files either so it doesnt turn out like a crappy 3gp file. Ahh how i love the jailbreak.
As for the iphone speed, mines slow because of all the crap ive got on it and jailbreaking with themes etc. Once i restore it and rejailbreak its great. This phone will completely kill it though, the iphone is no match to it processor wise, to use it as a proper phone every day and i think the iphone wins. Its a good achievment though, well done to toshiba

This is a big step in the mobile phone industry..a 1ghz processor on a phone wow.. my netbook currently runs at 1.6ghz (though i overclock to 2ghz). The phone itself..not so great, I couldnt see myself lugging around a brick that wont fit in my pocket. Sure its thin, but i would much rather had a thicker phone than a wide and tall phone that wont fit in a pocket.
Its a great step in the right direction though, this should mean that other big companies can start producing something like this with a better phone. Until then im happy with my iphone
