It's a downgraded Samsung i780, and almost two years later !!(smaller display, no 3.5mm jack, slower processor), only the battery life (perhaps) slightly improved

A good rival to the latest Blackberrys. Its a sure winner as it will be priced reasonably.

HTC, are you making phones for Blackberry now?

XPERIA X1, for Sony was a step-up from the TYTN II, will this be a step-up from the Blackberry 9000?

At last, BlackBerry wake up, this is what users want from a Bold 9000. Add a SIP client and Adobe FLASH then you to will have a perfect phone.

This is a very nice phone. Looks awesome, way much beautiful than E71 or Blackberry Bold & 8900.
Has and advantage over E71 in the sense that this beauty has a higher processor and higher ram.
Blackberry sucks in the sense that u need to have a BIS account to access ur mail.
WinMo doesnt have those limitations.
spec wise it has all the stuff, that E71 or 8900 has.
will. it packs both wifi and gps. and as far as camera is concerned, htc has fine camera quality.

This looks just like a blackberry, and i truly cant blame HTC for going for a more BB look. The Bold and the 8900 have done great buisness!!! and if i was to assume anything is that they are throwing their hand into a open face full qwrty with a good email system. although i dont know if anyone will be able to do emails quite as good as blackberry, a very cool phone though

People shouldn't stress the 2MP thing. Nokia's E71 has 3.2MP and its sucks. Iphone has 2MP ans is way better than the 3.2MP from the Nokia's E71

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-01 16:25 from myUc - click to readI don't think it's meant to compete directly with the Bold and the E71... This is more of an entry level device... Looks very nice and the specs sheet, although not impressive, seems to be sufficient for this type of device!
