This is the Worst phone I have ever owned! Please do not buy it. It was a big mistake. Major handset problems, I had it for a short time and on my way to ELF it I dropped it the one time from a very small hight and it shattered, now I have a crap, broken phone on a 2 year contraact weith no warrenty or insurance. Back to my old Nokia I think!

I think you might have to reinstall the OS. Sometimes things don't come out right the first time. If the problem persists, go back to .713.

hey guys, i upgraded my bb storm2 9550 a few hours ago from v5.0.0.713 to v5.0.0.983 and i've noticed one prob so far ie. while using the video camera it blocked out i mean all black. i freaked out, believing it was over now. can somebody tell me what else to expect from this version?

check if u close all the apps u opened. "using the return key does not close the active app it minimizes it. so its still running in the bk ground". press and hold the bb key,a bar appear with icons that are currrently running,(the default ones are: browser,bb messenger,home screeen,messages,and phone,also if u av antivirus) any other? press the icon app will open, press bb key and scroll down to close.
2. turn off bluetooth and wifi when nt using
3. if u av led light on turn it off
4. if u don't need vibration turn if off
5. reduce the bk light time

just a few tips to extend battery life.

I like this phone, i must buy one before it will be discontinued Because of the storm3, wish the storm2 refresh is not cancelled so i can switch to it, i dont like the storm3 rumors with iphone looks, rim you should make the storm3 look like a BBstorm, and not make it look like an iphone, dont be an iphone imitator! Be blackberry! Stick with the original and dont try to look stupid by imitating iphone just like other cellphone companies!

go options, mobile network, change data service to "off" and do a battery Pull. ie (remove the battery while the phone is still on then replace it), it will reboot. however,ur wi-fi will connect but, unable to browse whenever data service is turned off. test that ur *100# is working.when it is.

go options, mobile network, and change back data to "on" now both the wi-fi and ur *100# should work. well . it worked for me.

{{Someone please tell me can i buy this handset or not?}} that was the ques u asked. sorry we cant help u with that part. only u can and ur pocket can decide that one. lol.JOKES on u . anyway, i find the handset to be a wonderful device, i like the wide screen and pic quality etc. not sure abt ur likes or dislikes of the handset. however, you should check out the reviews on youtube and if y're ok with the specifications on this site (gsm arena) then u'll deffi kno what to do.i've had mine only 2weeks now there4, i'm recomending you to JRF for first hand experience with the device.
