Dis cell hz a poor visibility.... Thrwiz it is f9 , n a bit prob is vit da bluetooth connection... Well i lyk da buttons vit lights dats jus amazin B-) hv not seen such 1 b4

I've had this for 2 years and was puzzled to read some of the comments above. Mine works fine. The only drawback is poor visibility in bright sunlight. Perhaps some of the previous posters should check the below.
The camera lens is protected with a removable plastic film and by default is in low resolution to maximise battery life. Properly set it is every bit as good as any other 1.3 Mpixel device, even on night light setting.
Use it with a 4Gb memory card and use the usb connector to create an Audios/music folder then drag all your mp3 files over to it. But don't forget this is a linux device so no backslashes in folder names. Also the Music Player offers earphone, speaker or bluetooth output and must be selected. It works just fine, even outputting to my car speaker system with call interrupt. If you have the space it will also play .wav files direct from CDs.
It also plugs directly into most media centres and linux satellite boxes to provide a storage device.
And if you are techie it is real simple to create java applets using something like Netbeans to make the phone do things Alcatel never dreamed of - like vehicle diagnostic display.

My sister got this mobile as a backup, my Nokia C5 ended up not working for some reason the buttons dont work anymore, since i cleaned the screen with a slightly damp cloth #WTF, nokia products are just disposable low quality crap thats not meant to last long. Anyway i knew alcatel because it was one of the first mobile i ever got and loved this company ever since. What i like ablout Alcatel is that it know a phone should be a phone and nothing more i dont need wi-fi for example because thats what tablet PC's are for, i just need it as portable and conveniant as possible and thats what this is. at first when i experianced this handset i thought it was very inconveniant weird illuminating leds and lack of ports really made me think its a basic phone. in a nutshell i didnt understand its because it was new to me i always used nokia in the past 3 or 4 phones. this mobile is basicly evrything i wanta mobile to be but most importantly it has nothing that i dont want a mobile to be. its just right. the features i need are acceptable camera (dont really care) godd sound quality supports multiple audio formats, (dont care that much about video, again thats what tablets are for), and i wil tell u y this
phone is conveiniant, it has a built in touch pen, after loving this mobile the more i use it i realized that i am one of those few people
who dont believe that i should use fingers for touch i also realized that i will never use buttons again after this theres abolutly no reason to.
now thers a couple of things that could really improve, although the screen is very pleasing (larger than my c5) i would love it to be OLED that would be a dream come true for me,
that would improve battery life dramaticly and look even better. the OS IMO is its biggest weakness for example when setting an alarm i hated doing that it wasnt nearly as easy and clear as the nokia.
i tell u this phone is more than meets the eye. another weird thing about it that i like is the fact that it plays polyphonic tones real good and i always thought poly tones were really cool as i dont like mp3s as ringtones, and brings back the good old days, i can see i will have many nice memories of this phone in the future, i think the reason i really like tis phone is that it really
suits my character and the fact that it chose me. i think alcatel should make a version 2 of this mobile, a bit more powerful and better OS. if u want a compact mobile that is conveniant touch pen with good battery life radio, bluetooth, good music player, supports java games MIDP 2.0 this fits the bill. now what baffles me about this site is how poorly it describes the phones to u gsmarena needs to updates the specification section. have i only saw this
phone online i would have never bought it. it doesnt even mention the built in stylus #WTF. how the hell do i know that a pen comes with it or not!!?? i am using it as a temp so i am searching for something like it bit more developed, with built in stylus dont know why phones with stylus are rare!? if u know any such phone pls contact me.

It is really rubbish it says u can use mp3 music on it but u cant it wont work and i really need helpgetting it to work!

this phone is a load of rubbish i regret bying it i cant even use it anymore the calibration will pop up every single time it turns on and it takes half an hour just to do that for somereason it just a load of junk i wouldnt reconmend it to anyone id stear them away from it

Good: I like the idea of the blue LED buttons that change depending on what menu or application you are using. It has a fairly sensitive and accurate touchscreen. It is very easy to use making it perfect for touchscreen beginners. It has a few handy widgets on the homescreen for easy access. The sound quality is fairly good and so are the headphones that come with it. It also has a good music and radio player as you can listen to music whilst browsing around menus on your phone. It is also quite small and compact, yet the screen is still large enough to read and use. The colours on the screen are good and the phone is generally quite good-looking. Finally, it comes at a very small price, but I wouldn't go as far as good value for you money.
Bad: The phone is very basic and it lacks a lot of modern phone features. Don't be fooled by it's good looks and small price as overall, the phone isn't that good at all. It's small buttons makes texting difficult and lacks in an accelerometer which could have made things like texting a lot easier. The camera quality is very poor making photos and videos blocky and lacking in colour. I shouldn't worry about this too much as it has very little storage so you can't store many videos, photos and tunes on there anyway. There are very few applications out there that are really suitable for this phone, so overall, it can't really do much. The phone itself is quite responsive, but unfortunately, browsing the web is painfully slow and with no WiFi, you have to pay for it.
Conclusion: Overall, this phone is pretty terrible and I recommend you forking out a bit more money for a phone that could do a lot more. Even texting is difficult on this phone! The phone claims to be able to a lot of things, but it can actually very little or do anything very well, making it very useless.
So in conclusion, don't waste your money like I did on this phone - it's not worth it!

i got the phone less than a year ago and doesn't perform all the taks i wish it did, the camera is very low quality, everything is delayed and very hard to type without a dictionary
i regret buying it 4/10

this phone was good when i gist got it but after a while the touch screen stopped working and i couldn't use it Also the stick it came with didn't work well on the screen either
