A great phone full of features, GPS works well with Tomtom and IGO8. However battery life is poor and the battery cover is not good quality. I have had to send my device back to HTC within warranty because it kept switching off for due to the battery being loose. The battery comes loose as there is a very fragile pin keeping it in place, which easily breaks. Even after repair my X7500 still switches off if it is in my pocket whilst walking.
Ensure you have a screen protector as well else the screen will scratch easily. The keyboard and body have a satin balck finish but this wears off quickly with use, exposing the bare metal beneath.
Also be aware that the magnets on the keyboard and device will easily wipe any plastic cards which are near it, so don't put it by your wallet!
In conclusion a very useful phone with plenty of memory and features but the finish could have been better, it has a disappointing build quality for a phone of over £600/$1000.

The best there is, even now a year after introduction, still unbeatable !!
Fastest CPU and GPU, biggest screen, full qwerty, expandable memory, full VGA and so on. iPhone wont even come close lol. Full laptop capacity in a handpalm ! Anyone knows if it is possible upgrading to Win Mobile Pro 6 ?? And how ? Greetings.

Else the SIM cover won't open correctly. I had some minor problems with it the first time around, then i got used to it.

I used to change mobiles every 2 or 3 months, but after I bought X7500 I`m still using it with great confidence since 8 months & really enjoying my time at office and home. This mobile is great.

This is the most advanced handset I ever had! Not so convenient for making/receiving calls (due to its weight) but as performance and everything else, this device simply ROCKS! Is the best device I have seen with so many features and functionality alltogether.

On occassions when you don't want to use it's hardware keyboard, is there a touchscreen qwerty on this phone? I think the keyboard is nice when you're surfing the web, but it can be a burden if you just want to send a quick text message and have to set this device on a flat surface everytime you need to send someone a text message or reply to one.

@ G:

I've heard a few complaints about the device not recognizing the hard drive. On xda-developers site, they listed some way to fix it. The new x7510 has 3 major advantages over the x7501. The improved, less tiresome keyboard, the new 16 GB flash memory rather than 8GB microdrive, and finally the software, mainly the htc home (finger- friendly today screen). However, the x7510 has less hardware buttons, including the joystick. I've heard rumors of USA prices of x7510 anywhere from $800 - $1400. Pretty much ,if you can afford either one, if you plan to use the keyboard - go with x7510. If you don't plan to use the keyboard, the x7501 is probably better. Either one is going to be a great device. Personally, I would rather have the x7510. But i'm probably about to buy an x7501, because i'm tired of waiting and I found a nice price on one.

Did anyone have a problem with the HDD .. and what do you think about the 7510 upgrade .. is it worth to pay extra for Flash Drive instead Microdrive ?
