> In reply to Syrus @ 2012-05-15 18:04 from 6CAu - click to readDon’t know where you are
But the common Joe here still rocking a feature phone and feature phones don’t have programs like dropbox. and if I hear some one using a wicked dance hall sound for a ring tone. It is easy to just say “bluetooth it to me”.
I don’t know them from Adam so I not going to give them my email address that is linked to my phone just like that. Or they could be El Cheapo and say it will cost too much to send 4mb of data. Bluetooth is free and can be done as soon as I ask, no waiting, no forgetting what I asked for.

But u can get away with that if you jailbreak it. As for bluetooth file sharing....i don't care as I think it is slow and there are more better ways to share files....for e.g. through dropbox etc.
I want to jailbreak but jailbreak community is always one step back with iphone4s. No problem with previous version but esp with 4s....they can't keep with apple's new update. I have to downgrade to jailbreak...which i don't want. So for time being, I'm going around with extra usb drive in my pocket:)

We just got 4G cell phone sevice here. But there is not unlimited plan.
How many of you here use 4G and on ravage how much data do you use a month?
Want to see if any of the data plans makes any sense getting rid of my unlimited EDGE for.

> In reply to Syrus @ 2012-05-14 18:33 from 6CAu - click to read I would admit the iPhone dose look better with every version that comes out but the version that suits me has not come out as yet.
I customised the hell out of my HD2 interface and still wish I could do more.
The iphone interface is as interesting as a Nortel office phone to me.
Siri need to learn more about the Caribbean and the people there.
It needs a flash drive mode (for transporting files) why have a flash drive when your phone has so much space on it?
And it must be able to shear files using bluetooth (most people I know don’t have data plans and depend on bluetooth or wifi to shear files when not home or in the office)
For me an iPhone would make a great 2nd phone. Not my only phone like what my HD2 is right now.
iPhone is no longer a big deal to my age group here where I am.
You find the 50 and over and the 20 and under are the once that are the ones buying it
The 25-45 group are going for Android and must of them want a galaxy
Android is a top class PDA OS for me. Not so good at being a business phone. The sorting of contacts is way too limited.
As for WP7 lol its not too good at anything. But running smooth
BB has that nasty habit of lagging after months of use. Which is a HELL NO in by book.
I hate waiting and I hate lines
I really do want a change. But my problem is… change to what? Everything now has more down sides than I want to deal with.

> In reply to Anthony @ 2012-05-14 17:40 from LxG4 - click to readYa specwise sg3 is the king. But design-wise, the ugliest phone i've ever seen. Whether it be phone, computer, camera etc...my first preference is always hardware...i mean looks, design & built quality. The inner thing like cpu, software etc is secondary for me. Now I've iphone4s ....fully satisfied and there's no reason for me to buy sg3 or one x. I just wait for iphone5.
I've always recommended you to buy iPhone. You should give a try. Those millions of apps in iTunes is simply amazing. Now I feel that I'm stuck with iPhone forever even I wanna a change. The reason is...I have tons of amazing paid apps...which i can't find in other platform. Even it exits in other platform, not the same experience like in iOS. Btw I have 2nd phone motorola atrix (not bad....it got dual core, 1gb ram). But I tell you man......its day & night difference between this & iPhone. My 4s last 1.5 days with heavy use but this motorola...forget it. I think my hd2 was way better than this droid motorola. Only thing is that you can't do lots of customization on iPhone like in android....little boring but the rest of the thing is smooth & flawless. I've used bb, hd2, android in the past....they are ok but not great like iPhone.
Jump onto iPhone. You won't regret it. Those million of apps will fulfill & serve your every needs. You can do jailbreak if u want little more outta it. I've not done jailbreak since I am fine as the way it is.

> In reply to Syrus @ 2012-05-14 14:36 from 6CAu - click to readIf I had to buy one of the 2 mentioned, I would go for the SGSIII
The performance charts shows the SGSIII beating the One X at everything but one.
Not to mention I have a problem with a phone that dose not have a user changeable battery & no SD card slot.
The only thing I cold think of that the One X had over the SGSIII was the Sense UI

Both of them are great. This time samsung put "dedicated led notification" for sg3.....i mean like bb. Its a simple very useful features that most of manufacturers skip except bb.

> In reply to High Tech @ 2012-05-13 02:49 from kNka - click to readNo plans to get an Android or a WP7 phone.
Trying to get my wife to put a NAND Android on her HD2, so we can swap phones from time to time but having no luck with that, :)
I’m waiting to see what WP8 has to offer and maybe buy something when WP9 comes out. (if my HD2 lives that long.)
This is the logiest I have had any phone. Normally I break them or get them stolen in some carnival fete. Had the one stolen twice already but thanks to Remote Tracker software I got it back both times.

Well I've retired my HD2. Just bought my Galaxy Note. Love the Note. Cannot go to anything smaller now.... I rarely use my Toshiba Tab. The Note works best as a phone and Tab replacement. No need to carry two devices now. Just waiting on ICS Sandwich for the Note. I still use the HD2 when i workout. Don't want to mess up my Note. I see Anthony is still here. When R U getting an Android phone??? Still nothing from MS looks good to me.....

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-05-10 10:04 from v0Xx - click to readThe phone I want to upgrade to should have…
1. Gorilla tuff body not just screen, capable off standing up to 300 pounds of weight.
2. Should be water resistant up to 2meters
3. The screen should be not less than 4.5” with some kind of solar charging technology built into it that could charge from the light emitted from a compact florescent bulb. But still have thin body
4. Battery should give me 2 or more days of heavy use.
5. Must be compatible with powermat charging right out of the box.
6. Should have 2 multi format card reader slots
7. A multi touch resistive screen. Sweaty hands on a capacitive screen is a nightmare
8. Voice commands that don’t require me to press something on the phone first or put on a US accent so it could understand me.
9. It should have an I.R. blaster with internet programmable universal remote software.
10. The camera should be as good as a DSLR with double image stabilization
11. The OS should be 100% comp able with windows desktop so I can drag & drop files no conversion or 3rd party software needed.
12. The UI should be very graphical with endless user customisable options.
13. As for software, if it can run on a netbook it should be able to run on the phone.
14 contacts should be able to be sorted and filed using any available field in the list.
15 it should have the chrome web browser
16. Emulators for every smart phone OS made so I could just run/install a program and use it with out having to change OS.
17. It should have an fm radio that can output to A2DP speakers
18. And it should cost not more than 400US
Now which company will make this dream a reality for me?
