ur payin for the d1 & 8mp capabilities but i still say thats 2 much, the fone doesn't even have 3g, bluetooth 2.0 or even wifi, no way i'm payin so much for this phone.

For £318 you could get the Samsung i8510 INNOV8.
This phone seems pointless at that price, it should be sold at somewhere around £150 PAYG.

This phone is available now at cpw on payg at £318,and on various contract with t mobile and orange. The black one is really ugly have not seen silver yet am hoping it will be better!

To download the video samples you must go to the smape site in russian. Video recording is in 3gp and quite bad. Better chose another phone like N79, 5mpx is as good as this 8mpx.

its a stupid question but: it can record at wvga@30fps, but can i reduce resolution to qvga and keep it @30fps on the phone itself so i dont have to convert it on the PC to put it on to youtube? please answer.

lg put all the efforts at camera functions and interface...all based in multimedia... so lg sacrified wifi, 3g and gps...
If you want a camera phone this is the best... if you want all in-one phone...this is very far from the best...
Design: 7 (too conservative design.. no looks to bring buyers... but camera is the strong point of the phone.. normal display and big... good slide design)
Features: 8.5 (good features for a camera phone... lacks 3g, wifi and gps and i can give 10 points... camera is REALLY BEATIFUL.... connectivity is cover with usb, gprs, bluetooth(v2.1!!!!!!!!!!) and edge)
Performance: 7.5 (just nice talk time and battery life....)
THIS IS THE BEST CAMERA PHONE FOR THE MID-RANGE MARKET....DON'T EXPECT ALL IN THIS PHONE... IS FOR PEOPLE WHO HASN'T TOO MANY MOENY AND WANTS THE BEST CAMERA IN A PHONE......:)

It "could" be a comparator to Sony Ericsson C905, but sadly it lacks specs like wi-fi and gps. This phone can survive against other 8mps phones only if its price would be very low.

most of time i really hope slim,,,and good quality camera,,and in my oppinion, touch LCD is not nessary for phone,,touch LCD need too many battery!! so this spec is best quality for me, and it's camera is the best quality, it use sony camera module + shunider lenz so i'm sure it's camera is most good in all of the camera phone.

design could be better... but the price can surprise....
