> In reply to Martin @ 2009-06-01 10:24 from md$k - click to readI had a problem adding contacts too, Every time i tried to add a contact the phone restarted.

It was a fault and had to be returned, i had had the phone only 2 days.

Sent it back and will be getting the LG Viewty Smart or the HTC touch Diamond 2

finally got my Arena here in hong kong! if i got it back in the Philippines, it would cost at least 27,000.
The UI is pretty nice with all the fade in fade out effects. Texting with the qwerty keyboard isn't really easy. Although there are "iPhone-style popups" like the review says, the keys are pretty small and pressing the wrong one is common.
Also, i'm annoyed with the homescreen menu for favorite albums and pictures. The pictures are stretched sideways and are therefore distorted. And the album covers...does anyone know how to add album covers from LG PC Suite or the phone itself? Thanks in advance!
Other than that, the Arena is a good phone. Useful and pretty, if you want those kinds. I'll be happy to answer any questions :)

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-06-01 08:55 from 2CaV - click to readhey man... emmm.. it depends man but in performance. i think omnia is the best because its just like a computer for me you can install things you want just like in computer but in arena(god it really sucks theres no shuffle on mp2 player and sometimes it runs slow, but its cool though because of the headphone jack and sinsitive touch screen) one thing i hate about omnnia is screen and the color because its only 240k i think? and its not sensiteve unlike arena, but if you love things likve apps and etc. i recomend omnia... because its almost a iphone killer...but its your choice man

so no themes??
... i owned sony ericssons and the ui and the themes avaliabie, i really like that... oh well
but you can atleast put wallpapers on right... (sighs)
and about the ui, can you change the backgrounds colour?
which do you recommened Omnia or Arena?
omnia is a winmo based so alot of apps and its already been out for nearly a year.
softwares and all thoughs are all fixed, but for the arena there are apparently alot of bugs and tweaks here.
i dunno. Omnia of Arena there both around 500-700 bucks,
so basically, the arena is arena, its not really flexible, cant download too much crap, or wait can you even download anything??
like download games, more widgets etc?
omg so confused omnia or this!

I just got mine here in Hong Kong and playing with it for the past week! Of course there's no such thing as PERFECT phones but here's my comment
Pros - definitely VERY LOUD for all music & calls!!!,cool size and weight enough to put inside my Levi's pocket jeans w/o any bulging!, fantastic functions! Perfect 16M colours and good camera pictures!,half the price of IPHONE and almost teh same functions
Cons - NOT FOR people who love sending SMS/TEXT coz its kinda difficult using the querty ie u got huge fingers forget about this phone! kinda slippery or easily to slide out from hand (no eye slot for carrying thingy!) battery will only last for two days max!No cool games like IPHONES! SO far so good....Any questions u wanna ask? lemme know!

I forgot to say about the multi-touch feature...if you try zooming with 2 fingers, like you do on the iphone, you'll get really slow response.

Hi.Since i did play with this phone a little (and many other touchscreen based), i will post my sincere opinion in this matter.
It is by far superior to many full touch candy bar phones in many ways (like the 5800, omnia, pixon, renoir)...the capacitive touch screen, the big screen resolution do make a difference.
But still, it's not worth the money. If you're interested in diversity and flexibility, the Arena is not the case (choose an android or winmo based phone instead). Speed of the UI is kinda slow and draws back the fast and precise capacitive touch; the 4 faces cube desktop is covered with non-configurable photos (so it's not what you actually configure on those desktops).
If these things don't affect you too much, then it's a good bargain...else, you should wait some more for other technology.

By the way Scratch RESISTANT is not the same as Scratch PROOF. It resists scratches but under certain conditions may be scratched. I have a 5800 and want a capacitive screen phone should and want a better looking UI should i make the switch or wait for another phone??
