Has anybody installed skype/nimbuzz/fring etc on this mobile?? The version I am able to install is chat only. is there any version on which I can do Voice chat??

But the cam is 5MP right? How can it not be good? I was thinking of getting this phone cause it had a good camera at a great price

GPRS doesn't work, it always show "the address is not available from this machine". I've checked it twice with my provider but still no changes. They even sent me new configuration settings. Is the place where i got this phone and where i am now is the reason why it doesn't work?

I made a horible mistake of buying an LG KP500 when i should have just bought myself this phone. But then again Motorolas are hardly available these days so i was in need of a phone urgently so teh KP500 happend to be on my way. But i am ready to sell/swap my LG for any Motorola i can come across with.

This phone is very good, I flashed and now I have games like DOOM, QUAKE, SNES, NES, SEGA, emulators like a PC, this phone rocks!!!!!!

Nice good looking phone! The materials are excellent and if you´re looking for quality this the phone you should go for...
No 3G for faster connections, and the screen could be a little larger like 2.4 inches...Otherwise excellent.

To anonymous,
You can unlock the full potencial of mobile linux with ve66,too. The rsa for this model already broken so u can flash modded roms. Native linux stuff including emulators, divx player and etc. works with no flaws.

It doesn't matter it runs Linux, only thing you can run on this model is Java. No possibilities for anything fancy like running Nintendo emulators and similar Linux native stuff. Ofcourse it is possible but blocked by Motorola and known hacks that work on other Linux based Motorolas don't work on VE66.

How can I TURN OFF the GPRS/EDGE, it is on stand by all the time and my battery is running low very fast.
The other problem is that the phone loose signal very often for about 2 min. can that be fixed any way ??

Yes it's true... it's a bit slow in maneuver, but at this price it is a great deal, wi-fi ,wingjets ,great tst,very fast scroll (handy), camera it's more Vga then 5.0 Mpx :) but is a phone not a camera device. !!
Have to understand ,this is a Linux based platform, an brave exercise from Motorola ,u can add many apps like Opera mini, GMaps ,etc .
It's a open platform, a free one, try it before u buy it..may like a lot

ah I am using this phone for about 3 months now and I have to say I am very dissatisfied. Reason they put the 500 mhz CPU is only because anything less would not run terrible code of this phone. Yes it's based on Linux but is very slow. Overall I'm disappointed. I should have bought iPod Touch for that money and keep my old phone.
